This place was some of the most excellent of the cuisine I've had!! Great portions, delicious tea and the staff are very kind. Service is fast and the atmosphere of the restaurant is also very beautiful. Would highly recommend! Hope to come back here soon.

This place is good, although I must admit I miss our regular hangout from the era beyond - Kalasin that is now closed. We ordered laab (103) and nam tok (104) and the fried fish that isn't even in the menu! (Ask for it). They were all very good and spicy (I asked for Thai spicy, obviously) but not that spicy enough for me which was probably a good thing or Anders A who was dining with us would catch fire instead. The fried fish was excellent with mango salad, but I miss the red curry sauce poured on top of it as they usually did in Kalasin (I couldn't quite shake that memory off, could I?) - the fish was very crispy fried (which was amazing) but the whole choice seemed very dry to me (I should have ordered some curry or something) Service was polite and friendly. Price was more than reasonable. We paid 148 DKK each and we were out there full and happy The only reason I didn't put five star was because they put red onions everywhere. EVERYWHERE. I don't hate red onions but when they're everywhere, everything tastes so much of red onion instead. Overall, good Thai place in Copenhagen

Thai Corner is one of the best authentic Thai Restaurants in Copenhagen. The location may not be ideal so I usually take a cab directly to the restaurant. The restaurant is owned and run by a Thai family. So the food is excellent with a large selection of authentic dishes. They are happy to tone the spiciness down or substitute the ingredient to your liking upon your request. The service is friendly and the staff are knowledgable about their food. I recommend boat noodles, Tom Yum Shrimp, green curry chix, Thai Sukiyaki, Spicy Duck Curry, Thai broccoli stirred fry with crispy duck. You can enjoy Thai Iced Coffee or tea along with your tasty meal there. I have not yet had a bad meal there.

Summary: Adorable neighborhood feel with a great group of staff. Good space for children. Fresh flavorful fare. Atmosphere: There are two entries. I came up through the Thai bar downstairs right at the corner, but there is a second entrance on Istedgade. This makes for a great place if you're out with friends and then also want to grab a drink after. Service: Really a sweet group. I saw a table with two children and they seemed to take real happiness in giving the two girls a little chocolate treat with whipped topping. They politely walked by my table in the back corner often to make sure I was sorted. Very discrete and friendly. Food: I have to say, Denmark may have overall better Thai than NYC. Tough call. This place has really lovely set specials that range for 159DKK to 250 DKK I didn't do that though. Tom Kha Coconut soup is just delicious and filling. I really recommend this whenever possible. Basil Beef (not quite sure exactly what it was called, but the description suggests basil beef and onions and seasonings. It does come with a bit of peppers, green beans, and mushrooms as well, which I love. The sauce was so flavorful that even though I was full, I just kept eating it. The portions here are great. You should go with friends and order appetizers and possibly 1 entree less so you can try more things. I only took 1 star off because Thai globally is so competitive, so you should consider this quite a high rating and stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

The most expensive Thai I've ever had, but still good food and a solid deal for Copenhagen. 3.5 food rounded up to 4 for relative value in this city. Also same name as a bar downstairs. Looking for a filling, not too expensive dinner in Copenhagen, we veered away from local fare for Asian fare. Coming to this area of Istedgade because there were multiple Thai restaurants, we looked at a few before settling on Thai Corner. A restaurant that was 80% full at 9pm on a Friday, Thai Corner looked the part and had a solid, albeit superlarge menu. I'm used to Thai takeout in NYC running $10-12 max, here entrees were more around $18-20 in USD, but hey it's Copenhagen. Service was a bit spotty, but we eventually got taken care of. The food itself was pretty good - not the best I've ever had, not the worst. If this was a US city at US prices I'd call it a 3, 3.5, but given difficulties of finding a value in Denmark I'll give it a 4. Everyone spoke English, no difficulties there. One of the most interesting things about this restaurant is the skinny spiral staircase that leads down to a bar. Now if you don't know anything about this area of Istedgade you'd be surprised to see a stripper pole, neon, and off-duty stripper types hanging out here, but. . . it's in the middle of the Red Light district. And Thai Corner is next to a strip club. So if you always dreamed of chatting up a stripper for some reason, come here for either your Pad Thai fix or a pint.

Good Thai food at this small upstairs restaurant. Great taste and heat with the curry dish I ordered. The downside is the drunks and pimps hanging out on the sidewalks.

Great Thai food! I ordered menu 3 with the phaenang curry. The tom kai gai soup is the best I've ever had! The severs are a little pushy but might be the language barrier.

Wait, don't enter from the actual corner! That's a different business.. if you're on the corner of Istedgade and Gasværksvej, the entrance is to your left. Good, now you found the right place! When we arrived, we were greeted by an empty restaurant. Uhhh... this did not bode well; especially being so close to the central station and hotels (meaning rife with tourists and other characters who frequent the red light district). However, the ladies working there were so sweet and the menu looked promising. There is that annoying 20 dkk charge for water, but it has ice and it's a flat fee for one pitcher and refills. I went with Nam Tok (129 dkk) which was just as good as Bangaw's with roasted rice powder and delicious grilled beef. Anders A. got the Laab (129 dkk) which was perfect and tasted very much like the ones I had gotten in Thailand. Both of our dishes came with some green beans, carrot, and cabbage to cool our mouths because they made it "Thai spicy" for us just as we requested. And thanks to Maria D, we were able to order the deep fried fish by showing the photo on Yelp! It is not on the menu, and I think it cost about 130 dkk. The fish is fried so hard that it shatters under a fork and you can easily eat the crunchy fins as well as some of the bones, but the downside is that we wanted some thick sauce or curry to moisten it up. The mango salad that it came with was delicious and spicy but we would have liked something more saucy. Rice does not come with the dishes so there is a 10 dkk charge per person to add it, but refills were included. While we were eating and afterwards, the ladies working there wanted to know if we enjoyed the food. YES! Very sweet. Sadly the only other patrons besides us on a Thursday night was a table of 4 friends of the employees who chatted in Thai most of the evening and a table of 3 locals. Don't let the location fool you; this place does great food at a reasonable price. Plus if you sit at the best table in the corner, you get a show of all the.. colourful characters going about their business in Vesterbro.
