I happened into this place because I am American and naturally a lover of bagels but had been living in Spain where bagels don't exist for almost 8 mo the at the time. I had been aight seeing all day and was getting hungry. My friend and I planned on going to the park to read so we picked up bengals on the way. This was one of our cheapest meals in the city so it was already off to a great start. I got a spicy chicken with a cheesy bagel. And we took our bagels To go to the park. I thought it was great and ate every bite. I would recommend for a cheap and filling option, especially on the go. I don't remember there being much seating at all so not good for sitting down and just talking.

Tl;Dr: Probably the best bagel sandwich I've had in my life. (I've had them in NY, Cali and all over US) Steaming hot bagels fresh out of the oven. Highly recommend #10 Spicy chicken. Bagelwiches = bagel + cream cheese + cheese slice + protein + veggies = Yummy goodness! ***The long read*** How I got here: I had an early morning flight from Prague to Copenhagen. Lack of sleep and the early morning flight had left me tired and hungry. My friend who'd been to Copenhagen before mentioned this as a must visit place so I thought of grabbing a quick breakfast here on my first day in Copenhagen. I took the M2 train from the airport and got out at Kongens Nytrov. A quick 4 mins walk later I was here at the Bagel co. Ambience: Although it's a tiny place the aroma of freshly baked bagel won't let you miss this place as you walk past it. It has a bench on the inside and 2 tables with 2 chairs each on the outside. Menu is on the inside and outside as well. You can see a display of fresh veggies and meat behind the glass. The experience: You can pick from a preset menu that's on the wall both inside and outside. They're all bagel sandwiches (bagelwiches?) served hot or cold depending on the protein inside. Small fire icon besides the hot one would cue you as to which of them are hot sandwiches. You can either choose the preset ones or order your own sandwich. They have popular options like omelet, Lox, pulled pork and even veggie options like the veggie, falafel etc. You get to choose from a variety of bagels like cheddar, plain, tomato, sesame and different cream cheese. Feel free to swap out any of it. You can even get different cream cheese on each slice. Veggies are super fresh. If you don't believe, just hear the lettuce crunch as they shape it into your bagel. I found myself coming back to this place again and I ended up trying the omelet, spicy chicken sandwich and Lox (smoked salmon) Out of the 3, my favorite was Spicy chicken. The chicken was tender and with just the right level of spice. Omelet with bacon in it is also the quintessential breakfast of the Americas! They serve coffee and freshly squeezed OJ! I got introduced to bagels in NY 10 yrs ago, so the idea of bagel has always been bagel + cream cheese and that's it. Although I've seen bagelwiches before, this place is what got me hooked on to the idea of it. I am almost afraid to try out bagel sandwiches in the US because the Bagel co has set the bar really high. If the US ones don't meet the bar I may just have to book a flight to Copenhagen to get my fix!

Enjoyed this bagel with cream cheese. Plain, everything, poppy and cheese bagels. Cream cheese was plain, pesto or sun dried tomato. My son (American) needed a taste of home and this was a great option!

The Bagel Co. is honestly one of the best bagel places in Copenhagen! It is really hard to find a decent bagel in Copenhagen, so I was so happy when I discovered this place! Also, since I am from New Jersey, where the bagels are beyond amazing, I never expected to find a bagel that I would like in Copenhagen, but I did! At the Bagel Co. you get to make your own bagel sandwich. When you get here, you pick out the type of bagel you want and then the bagel is toasted. After that, you put whatever you want in your bagel and then you can get your bagel to go or you can eat it here! Whenever I come here, which has been pretty often lately, I get a cheese bagel with plain cream cheese, lox (it is super super fresh here), cucumber, olives, pesto, and salad mix on it! It is so amazing and I recommend you try my favorite bagel sandwich! I also heard that the chicken on the bagels here is amazing, but I am a lox person! This place is super yummy and I love it here and you should come here!

Stumbled into this place around 7:15 on a Monday evening and it was empty. The man who helped us was super friendly and patient with us as we decided what we wanted and asked what certain things were. I got the spicy chicken (mildly spicy) and my wife got the tuna. He pretty much let us put anything on it, including other meats, for no extra. The bagels were decent (I'd put it somewhere between a grocery store and a traditional New York bagel) and the veggies were fresh. Don't go into this place expecting gourmet, but count on good flavor.
