The Scandic Palace Hotel is a fantastic choice for a stay in Copenhagen. Its location is ideal—walkable to plenty of great restaurants and attractions. The building itself has a cool historic charm while being updated with a modern, clean aesthetic that still preserves its character. The unique room layouts worked well for us as parents traveling with little kids. The staff was both accommodating and efficient, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Breakfast is served in the basement, which was a bit unexpected at first, but the kids loved it, and it turned out to be a great way to start the day. Highly recommend!

Older hotel (over 100 years) which has much of the original charm removed. Laminate shelving and cabinets are hardly true to the period. The rooms are large and generally soulless.  My room had huge shower, large bathroom.  Great king bed with high quality linens.  Breakfast in the basement was typical buffet: plentiful and quite fresh and tasty.

Very well located and easy access to transportation. The rooms are a bit old but OK.
We had a problem with cleaning, the bathroom was not properly done when we checked in.
The staff at the lobby is super helpful and very friendly.
The Seat arrangement at the breakfast area is too tight. You have to pass very close to people to get to your table.

Location is great.

The Superior room I booked was much smaller than expected. The mattress was old, stained, and partially collapsed. It was difficult to relax on it. The room was very dusty.

There weren't any plugs near the bed, which was a problem for my mom, who needs a CPAP to sleep. We had to plug an extension.

One of the rooms I booked was supposed to be a twin room, with two separate beds. However, it's not possible to separate them more than 10cm.

Here you have to book a breakfast hour, which is just stressful and ruins the hotel breakfast experience.

Overall a very expensive and disappointing experience. I would have preferred to stay somewhere further away from the centre and just use public transport.

We stayed here 5 nights, and we got married in the Town Hall across the street :)
The location is absolutely unbeatable - you cross one quiet road and you get the Town Hall - so if you are in a wedding dress / suit it's super easy! The staff there are also so nice and supportive - it was really lovely.
The breakfast is a MUST TRY. It's absolutely delicious and full of freshly homemade stuff, and the room is very nice where you eat. Seriously recommend getting the breakfast too.
The hotel and rooms are very grand, and a touch older, so keep that in mind I suppose. But I really recommend this one. I also recommend getting married in Denmark :)
