I recently dined at a charming bistro in the heart of the city .The cozy ambiance, attentive service, and delectable dishes made for a memorable evening. The knowledgeable staff also provided excellent wine recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

Pondus is a hidden gem next to the canal in Aarhus. We loved it! The ”Bistro style place, specializes in farm to table with primarily organic/Danish ingredients. The tasting menu featured five courses all paired well with flavorful wines. The price is spot on with the service and quality of meal. The menu changes seasonally and the chef is accommodating for vegetarians and pescetareans. The standout appetizers and the braised free range pork belly and fried turbot tacos were outstanding! The service and knowledgeable staff really made the evening enjoyable. Pondus earns my five stars and glad to see a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Disappointment... I had my fair share of fine dining and Michelin experiences but this one was by far the worst, the portions were ridicoulously small we ended up bing still hungry after dinner.

We ordered bottle of wine which waitress brought to us already openend ❌❌❌ and poured full glass directly to both of us, not even let us taste - have not seen this before in the price range of such restaurant...

We were sitting next to where glasses and wine bottles are and shelves had generous layer of dust on them...

The octopus starter was interesting...

The main course PORK was 4 supper tiny pieces of pork which had more fat than meat and 3 small pieces of beetrot and 3 pieces of quince - a joke

The desert was best part, because we knew we will head out soon and also it tasted the best of three even though they gave us big ass soup spoons to eat it with... next time you might as well give us a shovel

And the 1 piece, literally piece, of bread per person for 25 Dkk must be the biggest gag of the evening...

The dishes they served the food on were all very different aesthetic for each course and food was also presented very underwhelmingly, no sparkl, no joy in it just some food with sauce somewhat good tasting but bland looking...

In my world eyes eat first when I am in restaurant and they were very hungry for more...

The Michelin Bib is very questionable to me for this establishment

Nice, creative food that was well explained in English by staff. The guineafowl was delicious! I didnt get his name but the waiter was a cool guy too and gave me some good recommendations for bars.

Not worth it. Average food and service. There are many better places in the city.
