Delicious food in a very golden and somewhat odd setting. Every single dish was a symphony of flavors, textures, and colors. The smokey beet and goat cheese starter stood out as most surprising, but the pumpkin carpaccio and roasted cauliflower main (both vegan) were also delicious. The apple pie dessert was the only thing that didn’t shine (despite the berries covered in gold dust). It was very run of the mill, a bit dry, and served with way too little ice cream to help compensate. But overall, we had a fantastic culinary experience, great service, and had some fun with the very golden ambiance. We also found the pricing to be very fair and well worth the food and experience.
We still don’t know why there’s a mural of what looks like 3-eyed Jesus on the wall or why the waitstaff wears what looks like graduation togas, but perhaps leaving with more questions than answers just makes it more unforgettable.

A cozy spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The tartare was a highlight—creative and beautifully served on a potato pavé, offering an interesting twist. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with a few tweaks to make it truly exceptional.

This is an absolute gem in Tallin - we booked it for New Years Eve and are so happy we made this choice. The food is superb - no wonder they have been included in the Michellin guide. The goat cheese and beetroot starter was heavenly, and the culliflower was an absolute perfection. The duck and the veil were cooked to the perfection. The service was very quick and attentive, and it came with lots of explanations about the food and drinks. The desserts were magical! Thank you, you are doing an incredible job!

Quite a lovely experience this week at 38.

We ended up doing a decent selection off their individual menu in order to meet our pescatarian dining requirements.

Fine dining at its best in Tallinn.  I would say by far the best food we had of the trip.  Very thankful for our friends recommending 38.

Art is lovely as well - was fun eating under Tommy Cash mural on the wall.
