We stayed in a cabin in January 2025 and had the most wonderful experience. The staff were so kind and helpful (thank you Adele!) and the food included was delicious. Highly recommend the husky sledding and Nordic skiing. Worth every cent

Its an amazing resort to begin with. A very warm and cozy reception for both east and west village.
We stayed at the west village igloos for the northern lights. The igloos are spacious and comfortable. The saunas inside are amazing.. You have a pick up and drop service on the resort so if you don’t like to walk, you have an option, which is great!

This was a wonderful bucket list trip for me from start to finish!!
and I was smiling the whole time while experiencing this winter wonderland!  Was fortunate to see the Northern Lights one of the 4 nights we were there.  LOVED the dog sledding adventure, along with the snow mobiling once the "slow pokes" were separated from those of us that wanted to go a little faster.  Food was good as well. All desk or reception people were very friendly & helpful in scheduling activities (or rescheduling)  Even found a hill to sled down with my daughter several times.  I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!!

Magical Stay at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort
My wife and I recently spent two unforgettable nights at the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland, and it was truly a magical experience. The highlight of our stay was the unique glass igloo rooms, which allowed us to gaze at the starry Arctic sky—and, on the second night, the breathtaking northern lights! Unfortunately, the first night was cloudy, but the anticipation made the experience even more special.

The resort is beautifully designed, although the restaurant and rooms are a bit far apart. However, navigating the snowy paths wasn’t a problem as long as we layered up for the chilly weather. The dinner at the restaurant was exceptional, and we highly recommend trying their tap beer—it’s a delightful local touch that pairs perfectly with the cozy ambiance.

In addition to the mesmerizing views, we also enjoyed the husky ride and a thrilling snowmobile aurora hunt. Both activities were well-organized and added a sense of adventure to our stay.

Overall, Kakslauttanen delivered a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and natural beauty. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the Arctic magic. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return someday.

The arctic resort is amazing.
Friendly people, great food and the cabins are cozy and they have a sauna.
The northern lights made an appearance on our last night.
I would highly recommend the resort and you should waste no time putting it on your bucket list!
