We've dreamt about coming back here now for 15 years and finally made it today. It did not disappoint 😍 The food is absolutely stunning, delicious and well presented. I took the chefs surprise menu (69e for 4 courses- every single bite was perfect. I won't say what was on it, but trust me, you want it). The other guests chose from the main menu and everyone loved everything and cleared their plates. Despite the menu being absolutely packed ( we tried to get in yesterday night without a reservation and failed so booked for tonight) the service was fast and extremely friendly. We had the best waiter EVER. I definitely recommend if you're in Rovaniemi and want to taste authentic food here and DEFINITELY  recommend booking a table because it's a very popular place, and quite rightly so.

We had a great evening @ Nili in Rovaniemi. Ambience in the restaurant is great as all is decorated with wood. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They explained the whole menu upfront and also everything on your plate. The food was so tasty, one of the bests we had during our Lappland trip. So delicious!!! My husband took the Xmas menu and I took 3 courses from the menu. We paid 135 Euro for us 2 with 3 courses per person. We can recommend it a 100%!!!

They have interesting meats you normally can’t try anywhere other than north of finland, and quite many of them are delicious. I really enjoyed foods made with reindeer meat. there is a starter they make with grouse, which was quite a unique taste. the bear soup was not bad but i had more expectation from bear meat. ambiance is super nice, decoratons are authentic and waiter that served us was really friendly and fun to talk to, he really took our experience from good to great.

just WOW. Food, atmosphere, decor and service - all on the highest. Real local food - nice change from burgers all around. Prices are not cheap - but well worth spending every cent for this food. Must book in advance because it is very busy place - we came and had to wait over 1hr for the table but is was worth it!!!

A must stop when in Rovaniemi! And do book in advance just in case because the food is really really good you don’t wanna miss it!

First time trying bear meat and a bit worried at first how it will taste but their Bear soup was amazing! Nothing gamey and the meat was tender. The soup is clear and warming for the tummy. The only thing is it’s a tad too salty for my palate but it seems the Finnish do love their food salty

The sauteed reindeer was also cooked to perfection! The meat was tender, not gamey. The mashed potatoes was perfectly seasoned with nice texture. There’s lingonberry and pickles on the side that well complement the meat and the potato

Another thing I really loved was the complimentary salmon cream cheese. Simply so so good
