We spent the day here today for the “family day”.  The staff were so friendly and the day was so well organised. We met huskies, had a husky ride, met the reindeer after a reindeer sledge ride too and a delicious lunch in the cutest cabin. Thank you all so much for a wonderful family experience. The little gift for the children at the end is a special touch too :)

Everything was great, we hired husky ride and reinders and it was a amazing experience. We hired the transport service, in the quote only they give u the option to go there but not return,  finally after our request they kindly get back to city center but I think they should clarify this previously, in any case it is highly recommended

The reindeer and husky farm was absolutely amazing.
We got to spend a little while here, and this is where food was provided all included in the trip.
Upon entering the reindeer farm we are given a little briefing regarding the reindeer and the sledges, the group was split up as only a certain amount can do the ride at one time.
There were a few reindeer close by in which you were able to feed but not allowed to touch unless the guide said so. (One in particular wasn't so friendly and reared up at my son)  there's also an enclosure with several reindeer in where you can feed through the fence.
The sleigh ride itself was amazing,very special don't get me wrong you're in a sledge being pulled by a reindeer following the rest of your group and this lasted just a few minutes but was so magical.
Once the entire group had their turn we were given a chat regarding reindeer inside with a warm juice and bun I found this very informative. You are also given your reindeer driving licence which I thought was rather gimmicky.
Once again we returned outside till food was served.
Due to sensory issues we didn't eat with the group instead my children were able to continue sledging on the snow mound outside even the adults got on in the action. (Sledges were provided)

Next we walked a short distance to the huskys.
There are only 3 sledges here so once again the group was split, this took a little time as 4 to a sleigh. These dogs were raring to go I will be extremely honest but I don't want to be negative this ride was over before a minute had even passed. You do a small circuit and are back before you know it.
Everyone was blown away by the speed of the dogs pulling but I was a little disappointed that we were on the off in the blink of an eye (like I say every one else was over the moon) after everyone had taken their turn we had a very short time to stroke the huskys and take photos but again this is only very short time.

Overall what an experience, we'll worth every penny spent.

I did the husky ride in here and it was an amazing experience for me. I did the 2 hour husky ride and from the start the experience was good. From pickup from city center to dropping back to city center, everything was super smooth. I would highly recommend to join the group for husky ride.

Can highly recommend Raitola Husky and Reindeer farm. We did the family day which seemed more expensive (€420) Although if you break it down I think cheaper overall than other places are charging for individual bits. You got a lot included and we absolutely loved it. My son got a reindeer driving licence and a reindeer toy as part of the day and he was so chuffed. You get the husky and reindeer ride (we found the short husky ride perfect as absolutely freezing on your face!), delicious salmon soup, bread and cinnamon rolls for lunch, hot glog and cookies throughout, feeding reindeer, petting the dogs, sledging and snow fun time plus two really good talks on the animals. All the snow gear was also included and we booked transfers from the city. They also took loads of pictures for us which we were very grateful for with freezing hands!!  Would highly recommend! Lovely bunch of people and animals seem well looked after whilst also allowing the reindeer to roam free (didn't get this feeling in SCV)
