It’s quite popular, so I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is great with dim lighting. The appetizers came out quickly; the beef tartare was good, and the octopus was a hot dish, decent taste. For the main course, I had the braised beef in red wine, it was really tender, practically melting in your mouth, but there was too much fatty meat. The catch of the day was quite good. The fried beans that came with it had a unique twist, though they were a bit greasy. Overall, the service was excellent.

A must visit in Helsinki. Located in a really nice old building with an amazing atmosphere. Great food and a weekly changing lunch menu which is very affordable with amazing quality. An excellent place also for a dinner and they are very accommodating for bigger groups too(just make a reservation in advance). Top tier restaurant with amazing service and delicious Mediterranean food.

We came here for dinner, and our first impression was that the place feels cozy, with a welcoming and relaxing vibe. The starters were great we especially enjoyed the grilled octopus and the charcuterie. They did an amazing job bringing Mediterranean flavors to the plate in a unique way.

The restaurant is located inside a building full of history and character, reflected by its architecture. The menu had strong Mediterranean influence and we were most impressed with the starters, especially the tartar and the octopus.

The restaurant Elm is a charmingly bohemian spot next to the beautiful Kaivopuisto park. We sat outside on a summer evening and ordered the full menu, which includes shared starters such as creamy burrata, crispy and flavorful olives, and hummus with a pesto heart. The fish main course, pike perch, came in a nice tomato-based sauce with a bouillabaisse-style flavor. The saffron risotto with honey turnip and pistachio was very well prepared. The dessert, chocolate soft ice, was somewhat trivial although nicely cool. The very friendly and relaxed service fits well with the atmosphere.
