I’ve heard so many great things about this restaurant, and I knew it was extremely popular that reservations usually need to be made weeks in advance. I got incredibly lucky when a time slot for two people opened up on the same day, and I was able to secure a table. However, some friends decided to join us, so I called an hour before our reservation to check if it would be possible to accommodate four people instead of two. Happily the staff was absolutely amazing and assured me they could make it happen.

When we arrived, the service was friendly, warm, and professional. We decided to go all in with the three-course menu and the recommended wine pairings. I must say, I’ve only ever had carbonara this good in Rome...The food was really good, and pasta was clearly homemade.

Overall, it was an 11/10 experience, and I can absolutely see why this restaurant is so popular. Without a doubt, it’s the best Italian restaurant in Helsinki. Really a must-visit!

Osteria dei Gusti serves some of the best Italian food in Helsinki! The pasta is always fresh and cooked to perfection. This time I had the garlic pasta, which is one of the best I’ve had outside of Italy. The wild boar ragu is a must-try.

Their selection of Tuscan wines pairs beautifully with the dishes. If you’re looking for authentic Italian flavors, this is the place to go!

If you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, Osteria is worth visiting for. The staff is the most welcoming. We were able to modify our meals based on the limitations and preferences. The wine recommendations were excellent, the food was very good and atmosphere suitable for the image.

The only truly authentic Italian place in Helsinki. I’ve been here countless times, brought all my friends and family and always go here for any celebrations because not only is the food out-of-this-world incredible but the staff is always so amazing. We visited this small Italian restaurant, which we found to be quite overrated. Keep in mind that the place is really compact, so booking a table in advance is a must. Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we ended up sitting at bar tables, which was disappointing.

The food was decent and clearly made using homemade recipes, which added some charm. However, many dishes were overly salty, which spoiled the overall taste.

On the positive side, the authenticity stood out—having Italian waiters was a pleasant surprise and contributed to the atmosphere. That said, the restaurant was quite noisy, making it unsuitable for first dates, meetings, or visits with children.

Overall, we had mixed feelings. There’s definitely room for improvement to meet expectations.
