This is a popular bakery, with queues during the peak breakfast and lunch hours. I went in the later afternoon (4 pm+) when there was no queue. I liked their cakes and pies.

It's the only place open early in the morning. A long queue, everybody wanted to have the first coffee. The pastries are good and fresh, the orange juice is just made and fresh, the coffee is just ok. The lady who works there is really friendly and hardworking

Nice and cozy place close to the cable car station.
I had a "pain au chocolat" with a cappuccino and my girlfriend had a "ramequin". The prices for the food is a bit high. My meal was 1,50 euro, which wasn't too bad, but the cappuccino was 3 euro and the ramequin was 3,90 euro. A lot of the other sandwiches and coffee options were also very pricey.
On the other hand, the food and cappuccino were super nice! The pain au chocolat was warm, so the chocolate was nicely melted. The staff also spoke English super well (the guy behind the counter was quick to switch to English when he heard I was struggling with my French), which is not a common thing in France so a super nice suprise!
Also, behind the place is a super nice terrace where you can quietly sit away from the busy main street and have the company of sone super cute birds wanting to have some of your crumbs.
Overall, it's a nice place that's cosy and easy accessible for a quick lunch, although not the cheapest.

The food is fresh, delicious and you just have to pair it up with a beautiful & sweet dessert. I usually do not like queuing up for food but after I dined in to eat the quiche and dessert, it was worth it. I felt the pricing was reasonable too. When I return to Chamonix, I will be a loyal patron and dine in again. I am a greedy girl and I approve this message. Will travel and try your food. LOL 😋❤️🌍
