Amazing cozy atmosphere.   We ate here after all small hike. The next day after a much longer hike, over 8 miles, we spent the last two hours of the hike daydreaming of another night of fun eating at this wonderful restaurant.

The first night, we had the Raclette.   Essentially melted cheese with cold cuts and potatoes. It is wonderful and one order is certainly enough for two people.    The onion soup is outstanding.    The signature drinks are outstanding.   My wife thoroughly enjoyed, quite appropriately (j/k), the p***$t*r martini.   If you don't have reservations, I recommend coming very early. There are seating options for walk-ins. We were here at the end of shoulder season, cold, and rainy, so the outdoor option was not available to us.   I saw many other beef options on other tables that didn’t involve at table prep that I wanted to explore, but our trip timing would not allow for any more visits. We would like to do a deeper dive into the menu the next time hopefully in the summer of 2025 .

Stopped here for lunch while in town. No waited, seated right away, friend staff and they speak some English wish was helpful. We ordered the flank steak and hanger steak, ordered medium. It came out pretty quick but was unfortunately cooked well done (over cooked). Not a big deal but no point of the waiter asking us if we were going to get well done regardless. Otherwise it was a pleasant lunch, nice atmosphere, and the food was good.

Decent savoyard food in a really cute ski chalet style restaurant. The highlights were definitely the French onion soup, the escargot, the raclette and the lemon meringue dessert. On the other hand the ribs were dry and the fish soup was not at all how the menu described it as - no actual fish or anything else in it, just an extremely fishy broth that was so bad we sent it back. Our server was great even though he was clearly very busy.

It was one of the best meals I had in Chamonix!
Ambience was very pleasant, waiters were very kind and accommodating, and food was truly delicious! I got escargot and braised beef, both were superb, if I am ever in Chamonix again, I definitely will make a reservation in advance. For larger groups you definitely need it, place is very popular and getts busy.

The three of us decided to have lunch on the terrace outside because the weather was good, the check came out to 109 euros.
