The bakeries served here are top notch. The croissants are a must! They just melt in your mouth and they taste wonderful. I would come back to Chamonix just to come back to this place! I definitely recommend this bakery it really is worth a try

The back story is that on this trip to France I have been attempting to find the croissant and chausson au pommes of my dreams (or what I recall experiencing about 20+ years ago. I have been disappointed by several bakery/patisseries in Paris. Imagine my joy and delight when I tried them here in Chamonix. The crisp exterior and pillowy interior of the croissant au beurre and the flakey, fragile texture and wonderfully spiced apple filling of the chausson au pommes hit the mark. So happy to have come here to grab breakfast goodies. We came here in the pouring rain and regret there not being an area to sit and eat. I think our eyes were bigger than our stomach because we had to save some pastries for post-dinner dessert that same day.
