Rando assez physique avec des passages par échelles un peu délicats (attention aux personnes qui ont le vertige ou accompagnées de jeunes enfants) il y a une autre alternative par le téléphérique de la Flégère si vous le sentez pas (22€ AR)... Moins de dénivelé et un accès plus direct au Lac Blanc en 1h40 et un seul passage avec échelle entre lac blanc et lacs de Chésery.

En tout cas ce sentier est gratuit et faisable pour des randonneurs moyens qui s'accrochent!

Les lacs sont splendides contrairement à ce qui a été dit dans un autre avis... Il faut les observer avec le panorama de la chaîne du Mont-Blanc en arrière plan (pas l'autre sens)... Il faut bien pousser jusqu'au Lac Blanc et ne pas hésiter à explorer plusieurs points de vue notamment en hauteur...

Quite a physical hike with somewhat tricky ladder passages (be careful of people who are afraid of heights or accompanied by young children) there is another alternative by the Flégère cable car if you don't feel like it (22€ AR)... Less elevation gain and more direct access to Lac Blanc in 1h40 and a single passage with a ladder between Lac Blanc and the Chésery lakes.

In any case, this trail is free and doable for average hikers who stick with it!

The lakes are splendid, contrary to what was said in another review... You have to observe them with the panorama of the Mont-Blanc range in the background (not the other way)... You have to push hard to reach them. 'to Lac Blanc and don't hesitate to explore several viewpoints, particularly at height...

Randonnées très difficile, ne pas croire les avis des gens qui disent que c'est facile ! D'ailleurs c'est par moments plus de l'escalade que de la randonnée. Chemin presque inexistant, on marche juste sur des cailloux où il n'y a plus de végétation à cause du monde. Les quelques marches sont vieilles et pas entretenus, avec des clous saillants. Les échelles sont vieilles et mal fixés. Il y a trop de monde. Beaucoup, beaucoup trop de monde, ce qui forcément attire un bon paquet d'idiots qui n'hésite pas à vous bousculer pour faire leur footing. Les lacs sont extrêmement décevants. J'appelle pas ça des lacs, mais juste de grosses flaques d'eau. Le parking est petit, mais heureusement gratuit. La vue sur les montagnes est très belle mais vous pouvez voir la même vue d'en bas. Bref passez votre chemin.

Very difficult hikes, don't believe people's reviews that say it's easy! Besides, at times it’s more climbing than hiking. Almost non-existent path, we just walk on stones where there is no more vegetation because of the crowd. The few steps are old and not maintained, with protruding nails. The ladders are old and poorly secured. There are too many people. Way, way too many people, which inevitably attracts a lot of idiots who don't hesitate to jostle you to go jogging. The lakes are extremely disappointing. I don't call them lakes, just big puddles. The parking lot is small, but fortunately free. The view of the mountains is very beautiful but you can see the same view from below. In short, move on.

Renseignez-vous bien sur la méteo pour faire cette randonnée en ce mois de mai les lacs étaient recouverts, et l'accès aux echelles dangereux car glissant j'ai fais une chute de 10 mètres en contrebas. Donc soyez prudent! Par contre oui la randonnée est magnifique face au monbt blanc avec bouquetins, marmottes, aigles mais demande une certaine condition physique.

Find out about the weather to do this hike in May, the lakes were covered, and access to the ladders was dangerous because it was slippery, I fell 10 meters below. So be careful! On the other hand, yes the hike is magnificent facing the white monbt with ibexes, marmots, eagles but requires a certain physical condition.
