First time in a Michelin star establishment. My lovely gastronôme older brother treated me to this phenomenal restaurant. All I can say is, every single thing I put in my mouth was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. I have nothing to compare it to. My brother and I didn't like the "Aïga-Belhidà". The texture, although very unique, was a bit too weird for us. Everything else was wonderful though! I love how everything is sourced locally. The restaurant is really indicative of Auvergnat culture. We even got to meet the Chef after the meal. Overall it was an unforgettable experience!

Une très très bonne expérience dans ce restaurant. Étant déjà venue le soir, j'ai voulu essayer l'offre du midi la plus réduite (à 49€) et cela a dépassé mes attentes. La cuisine y est raffinée, certes c'est ce que l'on attend d'un gastronomique mais il y a toujours une surprise une fois la bouchée prise, le jeu des associations et des textures est incroyable.
Le personnel est également très attentionné bien qu'il sait se montrer discret. Nous avons néanmoins remarqué que les descriptions de plats étaient différentes entre les serveurs mais cela rajoute du charme à leur savoir-faire ;)
Honnêtement pour un restaurant gastronomique les prix valent largement le service, et ce même avec la plus petite formule en 5 plats (qui rassasie déjà suffisamment).
Le petit stagiaire qui nous a servi était également très compétent ;)

A very very good experience in this restaurant. Having already come in the evening, I wanted to try the lowest lunch offer (at €49) and it exceeded my expectations. The cuisine is refined, certainly what you would expect from a gourmet but there is always a surprise once you take a bite, the play of associations and textures is incredible.
The staff is also very attentive although they know how to be discreet. We nevertheless noticed that the descriptions of dishes were different between the servers but this adds charm to their know-how ;)
Honestly for a gourmet restaurant the prices are well worth the service, even with the smallest 5-course menu (which is already sufficiently satisfying).
The little intern who served us was also very competent ;)

Nous avons vécu une superbe expérience à L'Ostal le temps d'une soirée. C'est un des restaurants gastronomiques que nous avons eu la chance d'essayer qui nous a le plus marqué. Le soin est apporté à chaque éléments : de la vaisselle au service en passant évidemment par les plats. La cuisine est varié, très végétale, prend des risques et propose toujours de nouvelles saveurs. On retient d'ailleurs les arômes de noisettes qui subliment plusieurs plats. Merci à toute l'équipe pour cette expérience !

We had a superb experience at L'Ostal for an evening. This is one of the gourmet restaurants we had the chance to try that left the biggest impression on us. Care is taken with each element: from the dishes to the service, including of course the dishes. The cuisine is varied, very plant-based, takes risks and always offers new flavors. We also remember the aromas of hazelnuts which enhance several dishes. Thank you to the whole team for this experience!
