Beaune has exceptional restaurants and La Benaton is one that sits comfortably in that category. The food is absolutely delicious and is Michelin Star worthy. The service is excellent but you do need to keep an eye on over zealous wine pouring waiters, who top you up constantly,  which can leave you with the impression that you are being rushed through a bottle of wine. The restaurant is quiet and had an air of exclusivity, lacking a warmth and vibrancy which may dissuade young foodies from visiting, which would be a great shame as the food is absolutely superb. Dog friendly and well worth a visit!

Really are very well. French with a twist of Japan. Really tasteful, very subtle. Really nice to look at and surprising to eat. The dishes are near perfection and service was very good and attent. We walked out being very happy

Very friendly people . We arrived totally wet from the rain. They offered some towels to dry.
Nice little restaurant. Mixture of Asian- European tastes. Nice wine arrangement. Excellent food, light and nicely presented

The classic french dishes....high class ingredients and not with small thing just and not with decorations things nowadays lots of fench restaurants like that .
The wine list is also excellent.

Be aware that the price for the tasting menu is not the same as on the website (now 85euros and 110 euros). Food is good but not at the level of a one star restaurant for this price (and we tried many). The wagyu beef tataki is a very good dish (delicious!) and definitely worth a try. Lamb was good too and well coocked. Unfortunately this is not consistent over all the dishes (e.g. fish overcooked to my liking). Fyi: Their is no air conditionning and it was really hot inside. Overall food is very good but simple and a bit disappointing for the price and for a michelin star restaurant.
