**Disappointing Value for a 2-Star Experience**

With heavy hearts, we must leave Restaurant Cédric Burtin a low score. The essence of our disappointment? At 90 euros per person, the portions were far too small to justify the price, leaving bread as the star of the meal.

To be fair, the presentation was good, and the chocolate ring with caramelized mandarins was a highlight. But the flavors—while clearly crafted with care—were often too intense, with sauces and dishes that overwhelmed rather than delighted. The marshmallows at the end were so rubbery they felt better suited for a catapult than dessert.

The bread, while delicious, came from a bakery in Chalon and made up the bulk of what we actually ate. For a meal costing 360 euros in total, we couldn’t help but feel that value was lacking.

The ultimate question: would we return? Sadly, the answer from all four of us—three seasoned diners and one fine-dining novice—was a firm no. We don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but we hope the restaurant reconsiders its approach. Slightly larger portions would go a long way in creating a dining experience worthy of its reputation and price.

Superb lunch with a fantastic Chevalier-Montrachet. Small mixup with the wine was very pleasantly resolved by the wonderful staff.

It was several years ago that we dined here and our fourth visit overall. As before, the service was impeccable and the surroundings very beautiful. Since we last visited, the cuisine has evolved of course and it is even more focused than before on local products which are delivered in a very pure way. Sauces were exquisite as was everything. Our dietary wishes were given beforehand and it is perhaps a bit strange not to be able to "choose" from the menu but then there is no stress on what to choose :-). When we return to Burgundy, we will certainly return here.

Creative and flavorful cuisine. The menu degustation was extraordinary and an absolute delight. The service was perfect, like a well-choreographed ballet, and the decor of the dining room in an old mill was pleasing to the eyes. This restaurant deserves much more than the one star it gets from Michelin.
