It is the absolute best meal that I have ever had in a restaurant. They deserve more than one Michelin star. Excellent service and the food out of this world. Creative yet not intimidating

One of the best meals I've ever had, the attention to detail and theatre are matched only by the quality of the cooking.

Flavours are punchy, textures are varied and across so many courses there wasn't a single bite I didn't love.

The fact that this is all done out of a temporary kitchen and a conference room of a Novotel is frankly astonishing.

They were also very accommodating and understanding of my allergies.

Wonderful food experience that combines the French and the Japanese tastes in a creative and surprising way.
Every bite pleasures the taste buts in new ways. The seasonality of the products will force us to return in spring.

Naturally, dietary requirements were never an issue addressing and checking everything when inventing alternatives to the tasting menu. Never seen a tasting many so well adapted by substituting for something new and original in stead of changing/leaving ingredients out!!!!

This is what cooking should be!!!!!!

Ps. Even our dog was welcome and enjoyed the attention.

We chose the Nature menu (3 course) for our lunch at Assa. The foie gras starter was the most impressive dish, all three different declinaisons of the foie gras were super tasty. For main dish, the fish was delicious but the beef was not very well balanced to our taste, the sauce was a bit too sweet and the pepper on the side was a bit too salty. For dessert, the mushroom balsamic one was very nice and interesting, the matcha one we didn’t like as the beetroot completely took over the dish. Services were good except the cake at the end were not really nicely served.

Overall it was a nice culinary experience with an unique Japanese influenced mise en scene. Worth a try if you visit this castle regions of France.
