Big Thank You to the entire team at Hotel & Restaurant l’Ami Fritz. We had our dinner on two occasions during our holiday in Alsace and we visited many local cafés and restaurants - this one is definitely exceptional, food is absolutely delicious and best quality, the staff is very nice and the outside dining atmosphere is simply a breathtaking experience. We cannot wait to visit Ottrott again.

Gastronomic restaurant with typical French dishes done at a decent standard. The setting is very nice but the atmosphere is a little too strict for my liking.

I only dined here, it's a lovely spot in the summer, with a terrace shaded by old plane trees. Cooking is good, fairly classical cuisine, mostly being served to tourists. The wine list is,  as expected, strong on Alsace wines, but also has a fair range of other French wines.  Service is fairly swift.

If you could paint a classic Alsacian Restaurant, a „Winstub“, with its wooden ceilings and such typical well aged interior designs, you would surely paint L‘Ami Fritz in Ottrott. Somewhere situated halfway between Colmar and Strasbourg. The food is sheer delight. Classic French cooking, Alsacian style. No chi-chi, no bowing to cheap touristy thrills, cooked exactly the way it should be in those rare places, where tradition rules supreme. We loved the Foie Gras, which would have done any Michelin starred restaurant justice. The Quenelles De Brochet and the Coer De Ris Et Rognons De Veau were simply excellent. The hardest part was what to choose from a highly engaging menue, special attention must be given to the daily changing menues. A superb wine list complement the heartwarming experience wonderfully. We must commend the very reasonable prices, especially when one considers the quality of the dishes offered. The service was quiet and impeccable. In the summer the garden looks very inviting. What a intimate and joyful place to have a great Alsacian meal!
