Each time I'm in Paris, which is a few times a year, I look forward to dining here. The owner is charming and welcoming and the food is wonderful. It's Alsatian, that is, Eastern French along the German border. The cuisine is more German than French. Aussi, pas cher!

I love this place  the food is authentic and very unique. The owner is very friendly and hands on to explain about each individual dishes. The flankuchen is Amazing ! It is their signature dish and I doubt you will find something like it in Paris. 

will come back often and I would totally recommend this place for the quality of food, ambiance, authenticity, service and price !

After a long day of travel and a failed search for a recommended bistro, we stumbled upon Au Bretzel and were happy we did. The owner was friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy. We shared 4 different entrees and enjoyed them all.

This restaurant serves Alsatian food that is delicious and reasonably priced.  It was our first night in Paris and we found it by chance.  We will go back!

We stumbled into this place right before they closed after a long day of traveling to Paris. They were incredibly friendly and made great recommendations. Food was very good, Alsatian region, so more German than French.

Great little place in Paris serving delicious food at a very reasonable price. Service was very timely and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered.

We enjoyed a delicious and delightful meal tonight, on our last night in Paris. The owner?/ Server was so sweet and welcoming to us and even provided us with complimentary schnapps at the end of our meal. It's a cozy little place and we enjoyed the duck confit and one of the Alsacian tarts, both of which were delicious. This is a hidden gem and truly was one of the most pleasurable meals in over a week in Paris, because of the good food, cozy atmosphere and charming and attentive host.

My husband and I loved this restaurant! It's around the corner from the hotel we are staying at. We wandered in looking for dinner and the server was very helpful and so kind. He also had a great sense of humor which was refreshing! The food is an Eastern French style a little more German than traditional French cooking. Their speciality is the Flammekueche which is similar to pizza, but with a flaky pasty like crust, topped with cheeses, bacon, garlic, mushrooms, chives, etc. It was delicious!!!! We would definitely recommend this charming spot.

We stayed nearby, and dropped in one evening for an early dinner. The owner (I assume he was the owner, anyhow) was friendly and outgoing. He gave me a hard time in a friendly fashion, showing me how to eat his soft cheese appetizer, bibalaskass. I had Duck confit for the first time, and it was amazing. It came with a mild and wonderful sauerkraut. My wife had an Alsatian tart, which was kind of like a pizza with flaky crust and strongly flavored Munster cheese. People, including the other customers, were friendly and humorous - it was a fine evening.
