First time in Paris and I told myself the trip is not complete until I eat foie gras before I leave, on the night before flying back I search a place that was closed to my hotel o stayed at and went to tried it out. It open late which is great, my whole family went to eat there for dinner. We ordered burger, streak and everything foie gras. The foie gras and the duck meat is perfect, it was a big plate full of duck meat and foie gras. The steak was so so and the burger was so so, definitely come here to eat duck and foie gras. Service was nice, the place is clean and people are friendly. I would recommend this place for foie gras and duck meat

Recommended by my Airbnb host, and it was the very first restaurant we tried in Paris. Friendly staff, awesome food, and reasonable prices. Very casual and neighborly too. Don't need to worry about whether you underdressed.

This review might be a little confusing.

I was looking forward to coming back here more than any other meal on my entire trip!

The first time I ate here last year, I had the most wonderful meal that I have thought about many times since.

So why 4 stars instead of 5 stars?  That is such a tough thing to explain.

4 stars instead of 5 b/c the meal is a little pricey and because the quality of veal is not super high, but it is still good.

So here are the things that are exceptional about the restaurant and the food.

The service is really friendly.  Probably the most outgoing server I had all trip. He was really warm and welcoming to me and to everyone who came in.  He also spoke English and was just really nice.  

I got a dish that has potatoes and cheese and mushrooms and veal and ham on top.  It is a southwest french dish called Escalope veau camp agnarde.  It is such a good dish.  There were really nice duck specials of the day which tempted me, but I had my mind made up on this dish before I even departed from SFO, it was my last day in Paris and I was going to have this dish no matter what and I told them that, lol.  It was funny b/c the other waitress who worked there overheard me say that and understood that and came over to drop off the check at the end of the meal and commented on it.  She said she also really likes that dish and it was a memorable delicious meal for her too.  It was nice that she did that.  It helped me express my happiness about the meal.  She was also cute!

Bread comes free with the meal and so does a bottle of tap water.

My meal was 20.40 euros and I was full and happy when I was done.

Oh, the dish was dropped in a cool pot.

Definitely give this place a try.  I saw other people with burgers and other dishes all of which looked really good.

Oh I just remembered that I got a really generous portion of salami and toasted bread as an appetizer to munch on while I waited for my food.  What a nice touch!

It's nice to know people who lives here to take us to these local places that we probably wouldn't have found ourselves.  Traditional South West French food...fantastic food, prices were reasonable and generous portion.  They even have a happy hour everyday from 6pm to midnight including weekend cocktails for Euro 5...and you can really taste the alcohol!

They had prime rib special for Euro 20 which a lot of us had ordered.  I got the duck confit which was actually my first time trying this dish so I had nothing to compare it to...I'll definitely have to try it when I'm back in Toronto.  The side potatoes were really good, they must have used a lot of butter!

We will definitely come back if we visit Paris again.

Best cassoulet in Paris!!  Seriously, great food here.  If you order the triple-duck, you'd better have a good appetite!  The service is fast and courteous.  And the number of locals dining here is a strong indication of its quality.  This is a definitely a "go to" bistro when I'm visiting Paris!

A wonderful place for a family lunch and dinner. Plenty of nice foods at very reasonable prices. I particularly like their salad, freshly made and tasty and nutritious. Highly recommend! We had two meals there during our stay at the nearby Paris Bastille hotel. The waiters were friendly and easy to talk to although some of them mainly spoke French.

What a lovely restaurant! Great Menu from the south of France. Was really good food, but should have starved my self before We went because it are really big courses! 
Even te best fine wines they serve by the glass which is a big plus for me :)

And best of all... They serve a fantastic tarte tartin flambeed with Armagnac. Really great!

Nice people, good serving.

This was our first meal in Paris a few days ago. We selected two red wines, one by recommendation by the waiter. Both were excellent. 
I'm not very adventurous when it comes to meats, however I tried the duck with potatoes and a pepper sauce, my husband had steak with blue cheese sauce and potatoes. We both enjoyed our selections. The meal was fantastic! The portions were enormous and very flavorful.
We would definitely eat here again.
