Decided to get a dinner at this restaurant after reading the postive reviews.

We stepped in and were quite surprised finding only 4 other guests (restaurant gives accommodations for about 25 people), but encouraged of the good reviews we took a seat (or better said the friendly waiter immediately gave us our seats).

While waiting for the menu we had time for inspecting the tiny restaurant. All tables were carefully set with glasses of wine, deco and a black stone plate, which turned out to serve as antipasto plate. So we soon feld really comfortable . When the waiter returned with the menu, I felt confused when he put another seat at our table, but shortly later I realized that the Seat served as daily special dinner menu (written with chalk on a blackboard).

Then we had our only trouble when reading the menu and only found french text. When we asked the waiter for translation we were even more shocked when he told us he onky speaks "verly little english". Fortunately my girlfriend speaks a little french and with some body language we figured out most of the meals and ordered.

After this small issue everything turned out to be great. Really, really, really tasty meals, portions not too big but neither too small and what was the most satisfying thing was the price. ~36 €... For BOTH! And that in Paris! Dinner for each for 15 € + bottle of wine (water, baguette and "coperto" free)

I felt really satisfied and immediately after leaving decided to write a good review. Fortunately I forgot it and did it one work later, because I had dinner in another restaurant the following day and therefore had a good camparison.

 Dinner in the other restaurant (can't remember the name) was also fine, but it was really crowdy and therefore also quite noisy (furthermore freench people are talking quite loud). Again we had a daily dinner (antipasto, main plate and dessert) + bottles of wine and water, but this time paid more than 60 € -.- (dinner price 24 €). Probably that's just usual price in Paris.

But so I was even more confident about the tiny, quiet, cheap paradise called La Grotte!
