What a great place to get a drink in the afternoon, and if you're hungry, the food and it's desserts are as good as they get!! We ordered the black Angus steaks and the chicken, and the tomato carpacio chilled soup (wow, excellent).  We washed them all down with both a bottle of the red and white house wine!  The food was great, however the desserts were excellent.  We had the peach sorbet with figs...WOW!  We also ordered the raspberry sorbet too (also excellent).  Not only the food was excellent, but the services was top notch with great attitude.  A must visit if you are in Paris!!

Stopped by for dinner. The restaurant has a nice look to it, dark ceilings and walls, I liked the atmosphere. The tables weren't so close it was uncomfortable, which was nice, and the staff was lovely.

We did it all. Champagne and terrine to start. The terrine had a good texture and taste and went well with the bread. I had duck breast and he had steak.
We are ok with our meat medium rare if not rare and when asked we told them so. Maybe they thought since we're American's we need things cooked a bit more. 

His steak was good, just a little tough, definitely medium. My duck was good, again just a little tough and I think it could have come out a little rarer. The sauces were on point. Our side of potato gratin was excellent.

We opted for cheese for desert and it was a lovely plate of three kinds that went well with the red wine. Our server suggested the wine and it was excellent. 

I'd give this place another try if we had the time.

Great meal with our niece! Delightful shrimp spring roll and chicken filet. Low key, terrific drinkable wine selection, sorry they were not more busy. Very nice meal at a good price.

You might not notice this little restaurant, tucked in on a side street. We found it on a whim, and were so glad we did.

We are Canadian, and we speak fluent French. It's my husband's first language. But everywhere you go in Paris, if you speak French with an accent (even if it's just a French Canadian accent), folks are going to switch to English. It's so frustrating. However, at l'Ancienne Maison Gradelle, no one tried to speak English with us, and the waitress just asked, "Vous êtes quoi, Belges?"
That pretty much made our day.

The food was so good. We had a prix fixe 3 course dinner. The server made a great wine recommendation, so we drank the whole dang bottle.

The ambience in this place is old school and comforting, but was also somehow romantic. I would totally recommend this place to anyone hitting up Paris!

I cannot say enough good things about this gem of a restaurant. I wanted to celebrate our last night in Paris with cuisine that was very, very French -- and L'Ancienne Maison Gradelle more than delivered. Every inch of the place, and every dish, was made with the owner's love, care, playfulness and pride. We feel like we stumbled into one of Paris' hidden secrets, a magical spot that's lost in time and steeped in fun twists on French culinary history.
