Classic French bistro with great options.   Recommended by the hotel.   Food, service and atmosphere were great.    Not rushed and enjoyable time to relax with good food.

We came early for our 12:30 reservation during opening at noon, and we were the first customers in. The funny maître d' sat us against the mirrored wall, which left the four of us no room to move, so I kindly asked to transfer us to one of the center tables, and we got it only after getting comical remarks from him.

The servers were surprisingly entertaining as well, which amused us as most of the restaurant staff we've encountered in Paris were straightforward and tied-up, but that was probably because we were the only patrons that time.

Though this bistro's seating was close quarters only, we found this peculiarity added allure to our lunch as soon as the locals came in. People and food watching we do find amusing while in Europe.

We ordered the special, which was the magret de canard or seared duck breast along with the usual French fare of escargot, duck confit, and steak frites. We gobbled on these yummy dishes while pairing it up with champagne. For desserts,   we shared the smothered in chocolate sauce profiterole and the baba rhum, which I was curious about but didn't really care for it after having a few bites. 

We're glad we dined in this elegant Parisienne bistrot but do get a reservation as we've seen them decline tourists during this lunch rush.

What a wonderful restaurant! We are so glad we found it! The food and service were amazing. They were able to accommodate a large family of 8 which is very difficult in Paris. They were attentive and very friendly.

My hotel recommended this place. It was perfect, great service, good food and a great location. We were staying in the 6th, easy to walk to. Classic bistro atmosphere. Menu had just enough options to please all.

Another perfect Bistro.
In the 7th, one block from the Seine on a quiet street lies Le Bistrot de Paris, a beautiful period restaurant serving classic fare.

We were welcomed warmly and seated at a table to ourselves. Waitstaff was friendly and jocular, and all spoke English. This being our 11th day, we limited our meal to plats only otherwise we thought we might explode. My wife the duck confit (her new favorite place for her favorite French dish) with frites and me the chicken fricassee with morels. Both excellent.

We enjoyed a nice leisurely lunch among Parisians -- many obvious regulars -- and no Americans. We will return.

Americans beware. Had a confirmed reservation via email. Arrived, well dressed, and was told I didn't have a reservation. Then tried to take my phone and go through my emails. Showed him confirmed email that we had a reservation and he still argued, making a scene. Terrible.

If I had a magic carpet that could take me and one girl of my choice across the ocean so we could have lunch, I would take pin-up sexy Dwarf model Karina Lemos here. Sorry Scarlet J., I have issues with sculpted Aryan blonds.

So, after Fem-Dom Dwarf Sex with yummy Lemos, WHAT DO I WANT MOST? An overpriced Bistro Meal at Le Bistrot de Paris, of course. There is bone marrow, raw beef, bloated bird liver, veal glands, and more. Tell me this sounds right out of Star Trek. And next to Karina Lemos, I want to pork the Star Trek franchise itself like it's a hot hole.

Eat here or die.

Excellent bistro with good service and excellent service. We enjoyed the confit de canard. Be sure to check the wine list. We did a 2018 Morgan which was excellent.
