We stopped in here to take a break from walking and sightseeing all day, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The server was very friendly and hospitable. I enjoyed a chai tea with a side of milk to add to it. The bathrooms downstairs are clean, and the sink is very unique.

Just remembered the name of the dessert that I got years ago over here.  Baba au Rhum!  

Originally from Italy.  I was watching a food show on Italian food, and the woman ordered a dessert in Italy called "baba," which was sponge cake soaked in rum and topped with fruit.  

Baba au Rhum is the French variation with brioche (sweet bread) instead of sponge cake.  Soaked in rum and topped with berries. 

How did this rum dessert get to Italy and France?  From Poland, where the cake is known as babka.  There's this fascinating history behind the dessert, which I got to learn on the food show.

I had a great time- my first night in paris was absolutely dreamy. My food was absolutely incredible. My server was very patient with my french and I was beyond amazed how easily everything went. The Creme brûlée is stuff of dreams. My cod was mouth watering. I'll be visiting a few more times before my departure.

J'ai passé un très bon moment, ma première nuit à Paris était absolument rêveur. Ma nourriture était absolument incroyable. Mon serveur était très patient avec mon français et j'étais plus que surpris de la facilité avec laquelle tout se passait. La crème brûlée est une matière de rêve. Ma morue était l'eau à la bouche. Je vais visiter encore quelques fois avant mon départ.

I like this place because of the large terrace, the bio ketchup, and the variety on the menu...and of course, the french fries, which go well with the bio ketchup. 

I've been here a handful of times and haven't been disappointed. Though the service is a bit slow, its forgivable considering the layout of the place. Its consistently good though isn't by any means my favorite.  If you're near Alesia and are looking for a spot to stop and have a bite to eat .... I would suggest this spot. If you're looking for a drink I'd go elsewhere, the prices are a bit inflated on wine, softs and beer.

After my friend & I picked up some breakfast foods from a boulangerie-pâtisserie, we tried to find a café where we could get drinks & enjoy the food we bought elsewhere. We were already in the Alesia/Porte d'Orleans area so we thought we'd try out this café. Before we seated ourselves at a table, we asked if it was okay that we were bringing food from the outside & that we'd be getting drinks at the café. They were very hesitant so we said no problem & started heading out. Once they saw that we were leaving, they insisted that it was okay & that we should grab a table (by "they" I mean a gentleman who looked like a manager of the café). That was nice of the man working there & the café wasn't full so I think they wanted more patrons.

I really like the seating area - partially indoors, good view of the busy street, & nice overall decor of the café. My friend ordered a coffee & I got the hot chocolate. They brought me a large teapot for my hot chocolate (so that came out to about 2.3 cups of hot chocolate when I thought I was just getting 1 cup)! The quantity & presentation was great but unfortunately it may have been one of my least favorite hot chocolates in terms of taste.

Our server was not friendly but not rude either, just indifferent to our presence (and wanted us to pay very quickly which I haven't seen too much in Paris but no worries there). We ended up paying early on but staying in the café for another 20-30 minutes since it was a nice place for a 1-on-1 conversation with my French bestie.

Overall, I probably won't return but I think they could have other items that might be better quality (the food from the other tables did look pretty tempting).

Great place to grab drinks for happy hour. service was great, You have to flag the waiter down sometimes but that's normal for Paris. We came here many times and enjoyed the calamari and drinks, little pricey but the quality was excellent.

Their mint tea is awesome. I had to ask 3 times to get a box of matches, though.

I. Love. This. Place. 

Seriously, I think it might be my favorite restaurant in all of Paris, even though it's probably too soon to say something that strong.

I've been here in Paris for three weeks now, and I've been to Le Bouquet d'Alesia three times already if that tells you anything. Their steak is freaking amazing. The béarnaise sauce that comes on the side might just be one of the best I've ever had. Combine the two together with a bowl of golden fries, and you've got what I've decided to be the best steak-frites here in the 14th arrondissement. There's a bit of chewy fat you have to cut out, but for the flavor and the amount of food you get, it's well worth the 25 euros. The waiters are friendly and speak English perhaps too well if you're hoping to speak French as an American in Paris. The restaurant also has a full-service bar, with happy hour drinks and basically every cocktail you could ever want. The best part? They're open until 4 a.m. so it's the perfect place to grab a real meal if you've just gotten back to the area too late for other restaurants. 

Hop on the métro and get off at Alésia because this restaurant is the best there is. And be sure to try the steak-frites :)
