Delicious and the service was fast. Ambiance was chill and casual . I totally recommend the rib steak . The fries was crispy and the salad was simple and crisp. The server was great I didn't feel rushed .

After striking out at three separate restaurants that were over booked for the night, my group of four found our way to Le Centenaire. It was a cozy spot just off the high street.
The service was excellent, we did not wait long for a table, and they were most helpful filling in our broken French with their capable English. Our waiter even helped my son pull the escargot from its shell. 
The food was just as good with the highlight of the night being the duck confit. It fell right off the bone and was cooked to perfection. The steak frites was also very tasty with a large portion cooked just right. The wine was tasty and the pours were generous. My group were delighted and we are happy to recommend and would totally go back when in the neighborhood.

Amazing hospitality, great food and wine. After a long day of traveling by train from Barcelona, we found this wonderful bistrot. The food is tasty af. We had Rhône wine. I highly recommend that! French onion soup was perfect! Not too much cheese, full flavor. Beef steak and red wine cooked beef are flavorful, filling dishes.

Our first meal after checking into our hotel was here at Le Centenaire. It was a bit too windy to eat outside, but there was plenty of seating inside. The staff speaks enough English to help you out BUT they then point at the chalkboard hung up on the board and that is the menu so I hope you practiced that grade school French! 

I ordered the beef tartare with salad and frites in an attempt to eat something light to offset all the baked goods while he ordered the steak frites because, I mean, it's steak frites! Food was tasty and the portions were quite large. Staff was friendly. Space was spacious and bright during the day. It's definitely a good spot to stop by for a meal, there's not much else I can say about it!

Service and food was average on a not-so-busy evening.  Tiramisu was good (B).  Cheesecake was suggested by the staff and was way too sweet (D)...I wouldn't get that again.  You may want to try other restaurants in the area.

Came to Le Centenaire for a late dinner on a very rainy night. We came here because it was a pretty close walk from our hotel and we didn't want to walk too far but it was a really pleasant surprise!Seems to be a local place (we were the only tourists) We ordered a bottle of wine, a meat and cheese plate, I had steak tartare for dinner and my husband had the duck. Omg the meat and cheese plate should be called meat and cheese mountain. It was gigantic! Between that and the two bread baskets we had (the bread was delicious) - we were already full! My steak tartare was exactly what I imagined and was delicious. My husband said his duck was okay - typical bistro food. The service was very friendly. Keep in mind - portions are quite large! Would go again!

Gregg M and I went here for a light dinner on our last night in Paris.  Unfortunately there were no seats outside, so we sat inside, but sat by the window so we could still people watch.  

We started off with a carafe of wine (you are in Paris after all).  I was very happy that they had snails on the menu!  Finally, I had found my escargot.  They were so good too.  What was even better - mopping up the herb butter with baguettes; Yummy!  In addition to the escargot we got the tartare.  It was good, but we thought that the beef could have been better chopped up.  Still - the flavor was good.  I also got dessert which unfortunately I don't remember exactly what it was - but there was chocolate involved and well it doesn't get much better than that.  Another great find that I would happily go back to when in Paris!

Great food! Wonderful service! Fabulous wine! Good atmosphere! A little gem we happened upon while we were in Paris! The escargot was the best we have had since we have been in France!

We were looking for a French restaurant close to our hotel, and this did not disappoint. It had delicious food at a good price, and everything, including the very friendly waiting staff's language, was both in English and French. I got the escargot and creme brûlée for dessert and it was perfection. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area.
