This is a classic Parisian brasserie with mirrored ceilings, mural on the wall, and banquettes. The service was fine (we were a francophone group, but I heard the server speaking in English). 

However, the food just wasn't that good. My omelet tasted like old meat grease, like the skillet hadn't been cleaned in days. It was a little over cooked. Fries were limp. The ratatouille crêpe went unfinished because the ratatouille was too wet as a filling and didn't taste very good--no olive oil or basil or garlic flavor. Almost tasted like it was tinned. There are so many generic brasseries--you can find better or the same elsewhere.

This is an adorable brassiere near the Louvre. Tiny, quaint, excellent service. We saw the staff pleasantly trying to communicate with a number of nationalities- a plus! Locals standing at the bar and a mix of patrons- families, tourists and business people.  A neighboring table ordered fondue which looked excellent. We ordered from the daily specials and the menu.

We ordered steak & spaghetti bolognese. The steak was perfectly cooked & so was the spaghetti. The wait staff speaks English or makes an effort. Will come back in the future!

Unjustly reviewed.

I'm not sure why everyone is criticism the staff, but that's probably why the food was unappetizing. The bitterness and dissatisfaction ruined the flavors.

Always approach staff or the maître D' with a smile and open with parle vous englais. The staff treated me well and I ended up spending my lunch and later on, dinner there. The maître D' remembered me and treated me with kindness.

The food is good. I know for a fact that the French take pride in their food, which was reflective of what I had. The escargot was delicious, the perfectly made crepe, and the steak too. I have no complaints about this restaurant.

Glad we didn't listen to the reviews. This restaurant is actually very good. Great service as well. Very friendly and helpful! Kids really enjoyed the burger and Bolognaise. Ribeye steak was fantastic! Pleasantly surprised after a long day at the museums! Thanks again for the great meal!

The good: my daughter liked her hamburger. Also, the waiter recognized us when we passed by the next day and gave a friendly hello. 

The rest is pretty bad... Our experience began with the fragrant in a bad way waiter brushing crumbs from the table on to my lap and got worse from there. Moldy bread (seriously, it looked like blue cheese), wilted salad, overpriced drinks... you name it. Then we were overcharged to the tune of €50, which, in fairness, was corrected when I said something but it took a lot of explaining and calculating.

Ate here tonite, I wanted to try cassoulet, it was pretty good, so was creme brulee.  Good soundtrack which belonged to the maitre 'd.  He was energetic and funny.  No complaints here from a service standpoint.

Manager was nice and waitstaff was very friendly. The food was good and service was quick. Just a short walk from the Louvre and I would recommend this place over the closer and busier restaurants.

Matt B. and I wandered into this little restaurant for a quick dinner before hitting the Louvre.  We were enticed by a chalkboard menu on the street that advertised a cheeseburger and fries, my child-like boyfriend's favorite meal.  We figured it wouldn't be great, but we weren't looking for greatness.  In Paris, it seems you have to shell out for greatness.

We walked in around 5 and were told that food service started at 5:30.  We passed the time with a 500 mL jug of red wine for €9, not top quality but easily drinkable.  There were a few other customers and the place was very open so we enjoyed the liveliness of the street outside.  The restaurant itself was mildly cute in an effortless sort of way.  It was relaxing.  At 5:30 our waitress came and took our order.

I ordered the cassoulet with duck confit for €12.50.  This came with one leg of duck, a strip of bacon, a sausage, and lots of big canneli beans.  None of the meat was cooked any better than the average person could manage in a decent home kitchen, but the flavors were good and the stewy dish was comforting on a misty day.  Matt ordered his €11 cheeseburger and fries completely plain, and especially without mayo.  It came, predictably, not with mayo but with a clearly mayo-based sauce.  Matt would've been unable to eat the damn thing, so we pointed out the mistake and the burger was replaced promptly with a smile and an apology.  I thought the service was actually quite good despite the goof.  The second time, it came with vegetables, but these were easily cast aside.  The burger itself was about as expected - very average, cooked past medium, but still edible with a healthy dose of ketchup.  The fries were of the same forgettable but non-disastrous variety.

Overall this is not the sort of place I would recommend to out-of-towners or anyone looking for a special meal.  It was, however, pleasant enough, and we left full and feeling more or less that we got what we'd expected.

This place is exactly as terrible as the reviews say it is. The food is inedible. The service is awful. And a glass of coke costs 7 euros. Never thought I'd say that, but McDonalds is better.
