The main server (that took care of us) ignored us to the extent that other patrons were noticing that we asked for our check and he just walked around with it in his hand while chatting with tables. Food was mediocre. It felt a bit like a touristy site (only place that asked for a tip). That kind of thing.

Scam Alert- Americans if using a credit card make sure you check the charge amount in your app before you leave. 

I had lunch here yesterday and the waiter tried to scam me. During the meal he was very chatty. I asked for my bill which came to 48 euros. As he was running my card he was asking lots of questions about me and where I was from etc. before I could ask for a receipt he walked away. I called to him and asked for my receipt and he came back and reached into his pocket and handed me a crumbled up receipt for 65 euros charged to a Mastercard. Problem was, I used a visa. I told him that wasn't mine and he got flustered. Went back to his machine and fumbled around a bit. Sensing something was wrong I looked at my chase app and sure enough the charge went through for 95 euros. When I questioned him he said "impossible." I held up my phone and showed him and he got flustered and agitated and said "I need to get my manager" and walked away. I watched as he went to a corner and got some euros out of his pocket. He came back and said "my manager said I put it in twice by accident and I should give you these 45 euros to make it right". Problem is 48 plus 48 doesn't equal 95 and if he put it in twice it would be 2 charges of 48 not one of 95. 

I think he put the 95 in hoping I wouldn't ask for a receipt and wouldn't notice the overcharge until well after I left. At that point what could I do. 

Anyway, ask for your receipt ahead of time and check the charge on your back app before you leave.

While I could have caught the metro from St Lazare to the Louve, sometimes it is better simply to walk and just experience the city streets as they bustle about in the morning, and also stumble across some cafes that one may not find it you spend your entire time shooting here and there underground and only ever see the dark side of the tunnels. So, this was how I found this place, which was okay for a morning coffee - nothing too spectacular, but nothing all that bad either. As it turned out, there was a metro station nearby anyway and he ended up going down there at my brother's insistence.

Passing by on Jan 1st when almost every restaurant is close. Happy to see such a place opening when you suffer much from cold wind and rain. The place was nice and a typical french resto. We ordered coffee and crepe, nothing is wrong. But the middle-aged waiter was acting impatient and impolite all the time. I guess it's due to working on the first day of the year.

In short, STAY AWAY FROM HERE. It's almost as if they were trying for a 1 star review....

Came in here despite reading all the terrible reviews and decided to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. We were staying at the hotel across the street and after a long day, we just wanted to get something nearby and head back to the hotel. 

Thin short, this is is THE WORST and MOST OVERPRICED restaurant ever. DO NOT GO. 

I ordered the minced steak and it was literally minced meat from the cheapest supermarket quality you can find with no sauce or dressing or taste. Very cheap quality food. I could have made it myself for €2 but they charged me €19. It also came with some lettuce which was not washed very well (a lot of black tips on the edges also) and fries which were below average. I finished only half my plate - enough just to fill my stomach before I throw up.

We also ordered a French onion soup (which they forgot to bring),and as my seat had a direct view of their kitchen, it was horrifying to see my bowl of soup being taken out of A MICROWAVE. Taste of French onion soup was better than the meat, but you can tell it's nothing good.

Lastly, the service was terrible. Perhaps it was because we didn't speak French as we are tourists. The staff were VERY impolite. Literally "threw" the receipt on our table without a thank you as if we begged them to feed us.

I'm quite disappointed this restaurant is surviving in such a beautiful district in Madeline. I hope to see them shut down the next time in I'm in Paris. This is has left a bad taste in my mouth for my last night in Paris.

It was a gem. Plates were huge and very tasty. We were starving looking for sun but ended up inside for being so cold. Menu has options of salads, sandwiches and toasties but also meet. Onion soup was really good, omelete was big but not too tasty but came with chips which was ok. The champion is definitely the fondant au chocolat with vanilla ice cream. Great place if you are just passing by hungry with no plans. Staff were very friendly too which is rare in

We stayed at the hotel next door and wondered into this place for lunch right after we arrived.  The food was decent, not the best brasserie we ate at, but the waiter was a total jerk.  He was purposely slow and it took almost 30 minutes to get the bill.  He then charged us 8 Euro for a Coke and then suddenly lost his ability to speak English when I tried to question him.  If you are looking for the bed French waiter experience then this is your place.  If not, walk down the block and spend your money elsewhere.

I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with a cup of green tea. Omelette was cooked perfectly and portion was good too. My boyfriend had the breakfast sandwich. Egg was delicious. Perfect over easy. Coffee was good. Nice and hot. Served quickly. No complaints. Nice little location on the Sidewalk.

We were in a way forced to come to this restaurant on a Sunday night as most of the restaurants near we stayed were closed. Unfortunately, not only the food wasn't good at all, the service was also bad and rude. The food was bland and fast food-styled. But the price was equivalent to price for some ordinary dined-in food. Moreover, they also forgot about our soup orders and the water we asked for. They didn't apologize or anything when we reminded them of the soup orders (and we didn't bother to ask for water again). Lastly, after we paid, they just dropped the receipt on the table and walked away. Highly recommend avoid this place.

Didn't ask how we wanted our burgers, then went on to give us undercooked patties that were partly completely raw and partly cooked. We asked for it to be cooked a bit more, but then it came back to us well done beyond edibility. Cherry on top -- waiters were slow and unresponsive most of the time.
