Les Tontons: A French Tartare Haven in Paris

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to try a place with so many Tartare options on the menu. Delicious! We enjoyed the traditional with capers and the tartare with foie gras. Both were delicious!
The waiter and staff were very nice and helped us despite our near lack of French language, with everything from wine to menu reading.

Une belle liste de tartare qui fait saliver malheureusement cela ne se retrouve pas vraiment dans l assiette. Peu de saveurs malgré les ingrédients. Point fort du resto cependant : un tartare XXL et un XXXXXXXXXL :)))))

This delightful bistro is a lovely spot for a casual dinner. Specializing in tartares, it was here I had beef tartare covered in a slab of foie gras. Without a doubt, it was one of the richest things I've ever eaten in my life; so rich I could barely finish it, but good to the last bite.  The burgers got high marks as well.  Service was excellent, and prices are very reasonable.

This is a fabulous restaurant that specializes in tartar so I had a steak tartar made with port wine and Roquefort cheese. It was DELICIOUS. There are more than 20 variations of the tartar here and I'm sure they're all equally good. It's a very intimate setting, perfect for a date. It's definitely on my list of places to go again when I'm back in Paris!

We were living in the area so we decided to check this place out since I looove Tartare. We went with four of us and so tried a bunch of different tartares and I have to stay none of them were very exciting. None of them were bad, but none of them were exactly good either. You could barely taste the differences in flavor between all the dishes. I wouldn't bother coming back here and would recommend people looking for a good tartare go elsewhere.

For a local experience eat one of the tartares. I had the "traditionelle".  Comes with fries.  We sat in the bar area and it was very lively with local people.  I would go back for the local vibe.
