So bummed. THIS PLACE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED as shown on Google, but not on yelp.  I so wanted a burger here.

Why 5 stars? Because they did a solid job with an American staple here.

Yes, we are the worst people ever to go to a burger place while in Paris, but I do want to defend myself:

1) It was a Sunday evening and it seemed like every place we picked out, turned out to be closed.

2) It was the night of the French election, which made even more places closed.

3) We were a little nervous about riots if the other candidate won, so we wanted to be near our hotel. Fortunately, the person beloved by most Parisians is who won.

4) We had been in Europe for 11 days, so we definitely had no shortage of experiencing new cuisines.

5) The ratings here were great!

6) And it turned out, the food WAS great!

The bun was perfect - slightly toasted, which is something that should be required for ALL burgers. Maybe the new president of France can enact that law? As as should be expected in Paris, the beef was quite delicate and high-quality.

I ordered the Dude Burger with carmelized onions and BBQ, while hte wife ordered the Frenchy. Hers her jam and figs and was definitely unlike any other burger that I've ever had. We enjoyed both very much!

We ordered a glass of rosè, because that seemed like the thing to do in Paris. It wasn't great, but we were glad we tried it. 

The bathrooms were downstairs and the ceiling was only a couple of inches above my head. I'm not sure if that sentence will sway anyone into making a decision to come here, but I felt that it had to be mentioned :)

While planning my next trip to Paris in October, I entered this place in the Search box, having eaten there in 2015 and wondering if it was still around.  I had just seen off my sister and niece, who were returning to the States a week before me, and I wanted to check out this place for its "personal historical" interest, since it is located on the site of the old Café Champo, the main hangout for left-wing Sorbonne students in the '60s.  I see the Dude Burger is still on the menu; that's what I had, with fries.  And I'll never forget the kind and beautiful young waitress.  It was a great burger, though the most expensive one I had ever eaten; but I find that even the McDonalds's in the Latin Quarter are expensive, and the Dude was so much better than the McDo product, so if you're really craving a burger you can't go wrong here.

Despite the very cold interior (it was snowing outside), my lunch was served fresh and delicious. Quick to get seated, and friendly service.

Had the veggie (falafel) version of the "Frenchy" burger, guacamole & chips, side salad, and fresh orange juice.

We arrived at the end of Happy Hour and ordered a Moscow Mule and a Gallic IPA. A burger and a beer sounded good for a chilly night. Our burgers were Le Bronx and Le Tout Shuss and we really enjoyed both of them. The fries were also very good. The service was excellent and we definitely will return.

Wow! If you really like burgers and you want you mind blown, this is the place. We just had the Frenchy burger medium rare and it was incredible! I have tried burgers all over the world and this one probably made it to top 5 ever! Like they say on their window, I just had a burgasm!!!

Great food and service!  Entered for Happy Hour and left with great burger, different but yet awesome quesadillas and fabulous (with great English and personality) service.

This place reminds me of one of those nicer burger joints in L.A. with beer and wine, like Stout except it's in Paris so of course it's nicer and very clean I might add.  You order at the counter and they bring to your table.  They have a good selection of burgers and the menu is not overwhelming.  There's a burger for everyone here, even vegetarians!  And did I mention they also have wine and beer! I ordered the Frenchie because I'm in Paris, hello!  It was tasty and the fries were thick cut and fresh. If you like your burger rare then you will be in heaven but if you don't then you gotta make sure you let them know because they cook all their burgers rare.  I'm a medium rare girl so I could've stood to have it more cooked but it was still good. The service was fine, nothing spectacular.  Cute young guys working there but one of them had a little bit of an attitude and had his pants hanging low so you could see his underwear.  Not really what you want to see when you're eating.  I would've given this place 3 stars but I really appreciated having a solid burger spot around when I was homesick.

Great casual gourmet burger spot in the heart of the 5th. 

Staff was super nice and helpful.  

If this matters to you-the menu is in English as is the big board. They have beer and wine as well as other traditional bar-type food too that all looked really good during our recent visit. Cheese fries, mac n cheese and the like. 

I had the Dude; wifey had the Frenchie. Both were cooked as we ordered and very tasty.  The French fries get thumbs up too.  

This was our last night in Paris and the casual vibe of Little Cantine was perfect for unwinding. It would also be a great pop in lunch spot when you are on the Left Bank.

Fabulous burgers with French flair!
Truly the most delicious meat on the Frenchie burger, figs, savory jam, cheese and your mouth dances with foodie happiness at the combination. The waiters are super friendly and speak English also. The fries are a side extra or you can do the meal deal and get a drink too for 12,50 euros. I subbed a salad and found it quite delicious.
