Wonderful Kurdish food, which I have never had so probably cannot judge, except to say I loved it. A lovely little hole-in-the-wall space, with great warm atmosphere. And the owner and staff could not be nicer. Just a great little place. Highly recommend.

Stumbled on Menekse by chance and enjoyed one of the best meals of my life. At the time, my daughter and I were bickering over where to eat since she is vegan and it poses some challenges in Paris. And then the heavens opened up on this little passageway and there was Menekse. The restaurant is charming, the sevice personal and attentive and the food divine. We had a meal we will always remember.

Service: Great. 

Food: Fine - definitely not authentic Turkish food, but I think it may have been authentic Kurdish food. 

The staff were friendly and the food was prepared fresh. I was looking for authentic Turkish cuisine and didn't find it, but the meal was enjoyable nonetheless. The prices were reasonable for the food. Portions good. 

I'd recommend going, so long as you're not only searching for Turkish food. Otherwise, good meal.

This is probably my favourite place in town in paris, if you want to eat traditional Turkish-Kurdish food, will be great choice for your stomach:) it was great experience for me:) everything was good!

Accidentally walked into the kitchen by mistake, but were shown a table instead. My friends and I came quite late around 9pm and the restaurant was quite full but not noisy. The meal was very satisfying and new. I wish I could tell you the exact components of my meal but I was very jet lagged. I do know it had eggplant cooked in olive oil and a hummus.

This was my first experience with Turkish food and it was absolutely delicious. The food is homemade and the family owning it is very welcoming. I highly recommend it!!! Especially the verek meal, the mezze and the baklawa!

My boyfriend and I came to Menekse for dinner during a recent visit to Paris, and agreed that it was easily one of the best meals we had in the city. It's tucked away on a small side street near the Ledru-Rollin metro stop, which meant it was conveniently located while still being pleasantly off-the-beaten-track. And the food and ambiance were both wonderful.

We came on a Monday night around 9 pm and the restaurant was about half-full. It felt like a neighborhood place. The interior of the restaurant is homey and welcoming, with interesting (albeit a bit kitschy) decorations. The staff greeted us warmly and were patient with our limited French, even helping guide our dinner selections. On our waiter's recommendation, we ordered an interesting and inexpensive Kurdish wine to go with the meal. We ordered an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert to share between the two of us - a mezze plate with a number of different dips and appetizers, a fish tagine, and a dessert sampler plate - and it was plenty of food for us, although we weren't extremely hungry (if we had been, two entrees probably would have been necessary). The food was delicious and well-spiced without being overpowering. 

Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. It's a great option for people staying in the neighborhood or on the metro line who want some delicious Kurdish/Turkish food in a great space for a reasonable price!

Very nice Kurdish food. Lots of flavors on each plate. The food arrives quickly and the waiters are constantly looking after you. Go and try this!
