I visited this restaurant with a friend of mine over lunch time. We made a reservation although upon arrival they couldn't find the reservation back. However, since we arrived early (around 12h15) there were still some tables free and we were seated in the back of the restaurant. The dishes are not very cheap (around 30€ for 2 courses during lunch time), but plates look yummy so we were looking forward to taste the food. We asked for the wine card several times, but the waiter(s) never brought us that. No big deal, since we had to go back to work afterwards. We ordered a mixed plate as a starter and I chose a pasta dish and my friend the escalope de veau as main course. And this is where the problem started. Friends of the waiters arrived around 15 mins after us, were served the starter way before us and other tables who were seated long after us, also received their starter before us. This wasn't a question of time our plate took to prepare, since most other tables ordered the same starter but got it before us. We asked twice whether our starter was coming and they assured us it would. It arrived - after one hour of waiting! No apology, nothing. It was a mystery to us why all other tables were served before us, and why we had to wait so long for a dish of cold appetizers. The starter was delicious, but it didn't make up for the rude service and long waiting time. When our starter plates were removed (as soon as we put the last piece of food in our mouths), we waited another 30 minutes before we decided to ask when our main dish was arriving since we were already there for 90 minutes! Again, no apologies, and all other tables (who arrived after us) were finishing and paying their bills. They assured us several times 'it was coming now' but plate after plate went to different tables. After waiting for more than 90 minutes, we couldn't wait anymore since we had to go back to our offices. We informed the waiters of this and they told us we had no patience and that we just had to wait b/c all food is fresh. Sure, we said, but waiting for over 1,5 hours for a main dish is too long we said. Plus, other people didn't have to wait that long at all. Again, they said we had no patience and that it was coming RIGHT NOW. Well, it wasn't. Those plates went again to another table. We got up and wanted to pay for our starters, but they got annoyed with us indicating we were rude. We told them we asked several times where our food was, and if they maybe forgot us. They could have apologized at least we told them. Sfter 1 hour and 45 minutes by then we told them we really couldn't wait anymore and had to leave. They looked totally uninterested in our complaints and kept on saying it was our own fault we didn't eat since we didn't have any patience. We left with only a starter in our bellies. While reviews of the food may be good, the service is downright ride and very unpleasant. They seem more eager to please their friends and are not very keen on keeping their customers happy by offering a good level of service. While Parisian waiters may not be the friendliest ones in Europe, this was by far the worst service we ever got in Paris. A great disappointment - also considering the restaurant isn't cheap. We'll never come back here again.
