This place is good for what it is - a decent place for a drink and some pizza that doesn't look or feel like one of the other cookie cutter establishments of Paris.

The meat plate was good, and they have a very nice selection of wines to go with it. The pizzas we ordered were hit or miss. I had one with ham on it that was great, and the other pizza we ordered was the margherita pizza, which at that place is just a plain old regular cheese pizza. The one with the toppings was better. The crust was good on mine - just crisp enough, and the toppings were tasty too.

It wasn't the best pizza in the world, but overall, really the place wasn't bad, and if you're looking for a place that's not like the other places in Paris, you won't be disappointed.

Best! Mozzarella! Ever!

The food came out fast, the wine was cold, and food our server Gerardo was so accommodating! The truffle ravioli was absolutely amazing!

Stayed at Crown Plaza République with two kids in February and dined on a Monday night. Kids were in Paris less than 24 hours and already needed a taste of home.  We live in Boston and our North End Italian is hard to beat.  We sat in the front room against the window and the owner and his sister gave us the royal treatment.  Kids had margherita pizza and buttered spaghetti au frommage.  We ended up ordering two pizzas.  Wife had the ravioli with truffle, mushroom cream sauce and I had the lasagna.  We also started with the misto salume.  Finished with icee cream, tiramisu, Crete brûlée and espresso.  Complimentary limencello.  Kids loved the place and the owners and already have decided we are going back.

Fantastic, though, I wish Parisian pizza parlors would take to slicing their pizzas, you're brought a beautiful 14 " pie and a knife and fork, the knives are never sharp enough and neither are Tenattôs you can sorta get started but you end up tearing pieces off puking the toppings off the piece your trying to eat. Someone could make some serious money in Paris if they just sliced the pizza, I will say when I was finally able to get an eatable piece it was great.

Though I'm not sure why they don't carry mineral water.i don't like still water but I also don't like drinking warm sugar liquid.

We were in Paris on vacation and went to Pizzeria Renato for the 1st time on Thursday May 30th for dinner.  It was myself, my daughter, her husband and their 2 1/2 year old daughter.  We had a stroller and the owner told us where to sit so we'd all be comfortable and the stroller would not be in the way.  Once we sat down the owner came over said hello and talked to the little one.  He is amazing, took our order, kept checking on to make sure we are doing well and to see if we needed anything.  We all placed our order and couldn't wait for the food to come the the table.  Needless to say when it arrived and tried it we realized how yummy it all was.  The little one enjoyed the pizza and both her parents dishes.  I even ordered a pizza & lasagna bolognese to bring back to the hotel.  OMG it was AMAZING.  

This was the best pizza I've had in a long time.  Keep up the great work.

This is a nice little Italianian/pizzeria on the square. The owner seated us and took our order (after making a suggestion to help me make up my mind). Service was superb and meal came out quickly. I had a cheese tortellini with a creamy mushroom sauce and hubs had spaghetti bolognese. It was reasonably priced as well. This is not a fine dining spot but it is very good for what it is....more like a neighborhood spot that does simple foods well.

The owner is super kind and takes pride in his food. I loved the spaghetti.. Priced reasonably. Also had the pizza too.

Fantastic spot.

Food: Incredible. Went twice in two days and tasted the Peperoni Pizza, Margherita Pizza, Mushroom Risotto, prawn & zucchini cream pasta, warm goat cheese salad, and the bruschetta. The pasta was outstanding.

Service: Fantastic. It was slow when we went (7pm and 10:30pm) so we were served by the owner. He was very friendly and talked about his start in San Francisco and Beverly Hills. Very charismatic and made each meal fun.

Price: Reasonable. Less than 15€ for a pizza and 18€ for some of the best pasta I've had.

Overall, the owner made the experience wonderful on top of the food. I hope to see him again in Paris or in the United States. Tourist or Parisian, try Renato.

My wife and I visited Paris just for the day. We wanted pizza and there were several options. However, this place seemed to have high reviews and we must agree!  Not only is the food wonderful, but the owner and his wife very accommodating. He speaks English fluently having lived in the US. He opened several restaurants in the US. What a fantastic meal and conversation. He makes the best dessert. Just ask!

If you are looking for authentic, Italian flavors, you must go to this place. The service is amazing and the food is outstanding. We came here with our family and ordered the carpaccio to get started, which was extremely fresh and tasty. I ordered a lasagna as my main dish, and I must say, it did not disappoint. We also ordered the tiramisu for dessert, which was made to perfection. We will be going back tomorrow to get dinner, since we could not get enough of this place.
