We had a wonderful dinner here, fresh and creative dishes, attentive service and a very warm welcome.   We had the cod and tuna dishes without a starter and that was plenty of food.  Our server, Thomas, was excellent and recommended nice wine pairings and a fabulous dessert.  Will definitely return!

After many "Racines" establishments across the river, the well known chef David Lanher, opened up his newest on the left bank, in the St. Germain part of the 7th Arrondissement, Occupying a small, elongated space with an open kitchen, the kitchen bar seats reign, as the young staff can be very entertaining, but Madame preferred the intimate two top in the rear of the restaurant.  This kitchen is excellent, with Chef Navarro displaying his pedigree and well honed talents.  

Oeuf mollet croustellant, a crispy boiled egg, was a delicious starter, but my 
Tartare de mulet noir, a mediocre ceviche tasting dish. The star of the evening was the Joue de Veau braisée main, veal cheeks that caused my own cheeks to pucker in exaltation.  It was amazing! Our other main, Pintade de Mr Duplantier, roasted guinea fowl, was good, but not great.  It wasn't in the same league as the veal cheeks. Our desserts of Ananas rôti, mousse fromage blanc, sorbet piña colada and Mont-Blanc aux marrons d'Ardèche, sorbet myrtilles were wonderful. We washed everything down with a unique and piquant 2012 Rhone white, Domaine Des Tours Vin de Pays de Vaucluse.

One discordant note of Racines des Pres was service.  Young and seemingly eager, the two women were quite different in their affect. One server was happy to describe the menu items and took great joy in our happiness. While the other server seemed more taken with her appearance than the food. At the end of the evening, both servers disappeared.  The large group behind our own two top, were compelled to stand around in front of the kitchen waiting for their bill to be paid, blocking the entire restaurant.  We also were forced to walk up to the kitchen to pay our bill.  This is inexcusable in a restaurant of this quality.  However, nothing could detract from the deliciousness of those veal cheeks.  It was the tastiest dish of the year.  Bravo!

Hidden behind a street parallel to Saint Germain des Prés, is this comfy, airy and clean feel restaurant. We had a bonito tartare starter in which you have to eat each piece with all it comes with- fantastic!

Really nice place to get very good food. Space is small and quite, very private. They have great ambience and music. Servers were very friendly and helpful going through the different options on the menu. Was very easy to make a reservation. At the end I ordered the Chef menu with 6 services, all of them were great! It is hard to remember all the names, but the one that I enjoyed the most was the Ravioles de foie gras et champignons. Will definitely come back in my next trip to Paris.

Although the food is exceptional, it is a red flag for foreigners. Treated like second class citizens, being sat in solely the back of restaurant. They are rude and zero chances for any accommodation. At this hefty price their exceptional rudeness is off the charts. And let me not forget that there is zero tasting menu, even thought so advertised on there website. Plus for France surprisingly, they have no problem to pour your white wine into the same glass from which you previously drunk red. Found this "very interesting" for the wine country lol

So delicious!  We were able to receive last minute reservations from our concierge at Ritz Paris!  

We cuddled up to the chef's bar and watch chef and his entire team prepare and lay down fresh food - for all who poured through the door. Great service, friendly vibe mouth watering food - fresh Truffles - love this Michelin Star!!!

My daughter and I had a lovely bottle of wine and then the tasting menu which was superb! The chicken was delicious. The desserts were outstanding. Ambiance was calm with friendly,outstanding service

C'est absolutement delicieux! Amazing michelin restaurant in St Germaine .  It's a total experience with open kitchen. Went to dinner with three and all had something different. Yesterday menu I had crab starter, and pork for main. Juicy and succulent precisely cooked with a wonderful sauce.  My wife had chicken, I had pork. Amazing
