Still a line at 930 pm on a Wednesday night. Had high hopes for this place as it's been bookmarked for quite some time. Make sense when they're a Michelin bib gourmand. Don't be alarmed, the place doesn't have any signage just goto where the long line is.

All the starters were a hit esp the shashamo grilled smelt and the belly filled with eggs. Wish they were slightly more crispy.

Great sashimi portion and quality fish. The grilled chicken was incredible with the fermented rice marinade they use.

Now the negatives - perhaps I should have got the dipping soba instead, but the broth was nice but a tad too sweet in my option. The duck was over cooked as it's sitting in the broth too long but the shrimp and vegetable tempura was incredibly well fried.

Other highlights were the potato salad and the age dashi tofu!

Service, ambiance and cuisine are all 10/10! Thé aubergine especially was fantastic! The cuisine really is so well crafted bringing the flavours of all meat, fish and vegetables to the forefront of the plate. Simply put, the cuisine celebrates its ingredients. Will definitely come back to try the dishes we couldn’t try. The soba noodles was one of the best I’ve tasted in Paris so far. The sesame Soba was exception! The crème brûlée was perfection and the sesame and matcha ice cream remained one of favourites. The mochi made in-house was amazing as well. This restaurant is a hidden gem and one that I’ll visit again. Thank you to the staff for their hospitality and the warm welcome into the culture and cuisine of Japan.

I ordered a  soup soba with duck pieces and a buckwheat creme brulee. The broth is exceptional and I haven't tasted it in other restaurants of this price range. Soba tasted like the storebought one I can prepare at home. But I guess you can only taste the difference if it's prepared other ways. The duck portion was small. The toppings were bland. 17 euro for that... overpriced.
I also struggled to find a taste of buckwheat in the creme brulee (6 euro)...
If you are a single diner they would seat you at the bar table with the uncomfortable high chairs. I understand why because their restaurant got full quite fast during lunch time. But for me never again.

Did not know about the lines or that it was in the tire guide until arriving. We entered the street at 1159 to see a queue. Doors are at 1200. We got in on the condition that we would only stay if we got in on the first cycle, which we thankfully did.

Greatful that we did. The design and atmosphere of the space is quite good. Warm wood everywhere. Coziness and closeness without feeling too cramped. It did feel like they know what is the max amount of diners without spilling over.

We both had hot soba. Which we enjoyed in this cold time. Broth was full of warming flavors that cut through the chill.  I had the thin slices of duck which were tender and meaty. My partner had the tempura - and it was the kind of tempura that maintained crunchy bites after being dunked in the broth.

A bit of rushing in the staff but understandable. Service was friendly and quick.

If you do go make sure to be ready to wait either early or late arrival . And if you are inside don't take too long - remember there are those outside.

Very friendly staff with good ambiance. We got seated by a large window that opened up so we were practically sitting outside. The food was all great, the soba was the star with  a broth that was very hearty.
