Probably my favorite meal of my life. So relaxing, everything beautiful and healthy and delicious. If you aren’t familiar with the style of restaurant, be aware it’s traditional and formal (but not pretentious!) and you’ll be speaking very quietly and stopping to silently watch what the chef is doing. Everyone is greeted on the sidewalk outside and it’s essential to be on time.

This restaurant is a pure gem. I had the chance to be invited many times in some of the best japanese traditional restaurants in Japan by local friends.

Still, Chakaiseki Akiyoshi remains the most amazing experience I ever had for traditional Japanese gastronomy.

Fantastic ! I had Déjeuner du Chef with accord Vin & saké (& du thé for me as I don't drink much).

It was my first experience with the authentic Japanese kitchen, so I needed some guidelines. The stuff was extremely welcoming and gave interesting insights about the tea ceremony,  the restaurant's and Chef's story and the origins of each elements (products, design, tableware).

The meal was a pure delight. Simple and fine, perfectly pared with either wine, or saké, or thé. I was sitting at the bar so had a chance not only to see the final preparation, but also communicate with the chef.
The matcha tea as a final accord was the best I've ever tried.

The place itself: very quiet, modern, decorated with wooden panels and minimalist. I've never been to Japan but I guess it's how the tea houses are designed there.

Looking forward to being back!
