A 100-years old restaurant, which offers simple French staples, like chicken, duck and veal kidneys. Tremendous wine list. Large portions. Very high prices. Almost impossible to make a reservation for dinner, a little easier for lunch. 3.5 stars

Top recommendation in Paris! We put our names down and went to a bar, Erev, nearby for an hour. It was lovely and easy! Will definitely go back for that Chicken and Fries!

It's one of the best foie gras dishes I've ever had. The famous chicken, however, is somewhat overrated. The escargot is generously sized. On the downside, the waiter was a mix of rudeness and friendliness. The prices are quite steep, likely due to the restaurant's long-standing reputation. While I appreciated the beautiful cuisine, I believe customers should be treated with more courtesy.

Before it becomes ami Louis Vuitton one of the last place in Paris where food is good and large and not pretentious. I fear every day when Bernard will ruin it with a creative chef and change a single thing in this monument.

Chez l'ami Louis is legendary.  We have eaten here several times over the years and they never disapoint. The crowd is always an eclectic mix of chic, local, business.  All of whom know they are about to experience something special.  Fingers crossed LVMH will preserve l'ami for generations to come.
