Though I’m grateful we were upgraded to a ”superior” room at the price of 84€ instead of +200€, it definitely did not feel like it.
The finishes of the construction in the room were an eyesore. The milk packet for the coffee was sour and expired.
The price of 35€ for the spa I was happy to pay, but you get what you pay for.
It was old and creepy like our room. We didn’t even get bathrobes though it was promised to be in our room, and the lady at the spa front desk refused to give me one when we were there, and laughed at me idiotically.
The dinner at the bistro was nice. That’s about the only thing we enjoyed. Although, we asked for sparkling water and got sink water.
The bar man at the main checkin house was a disaster. He didn’t know his wines and took 20 minutes to prepare 2 gin and tonics. We were only 2 couples in the bar..
After dinner we wanted to take another drink so we walked back to the bar in the main building. We saw a red wine on the list and asked for 2 glasses and the bar man said annoyingly ”well I would have to go down to the basement then..”

So we left.

I wouldn’t call this place a 4 star hotel. Someone mentioned a motel, and that’s about what I would call it. A high end motel with outrageous prices!

Thank you for your hospitality but we will most likely not be back.

My sister and I went for the day using their offer at €100 for two which gives you access to the swimming pool from 9am to 8pm, a cocktail at 3/4pm and a bedroom between 1pm and 3pm.
We also booked a table for their brunch at €55 per person. And the entire experience was exquisite - from the friendly and professional service to the diversity of the brunch which included some very tasty and fresh oysters. We loved it so much that we will be back!

V nice food; very well prepared and presented with good ingredients. The view from the restaurant in the chateau is lovely.

The other restaurant is more informal and across the road. When the weather is nice, it is lovely to sit outside.

Rooms in the main chateau have fantastic views (rooms at the back). Very nice atmosphere in the hotel; feels like a house you are staying at.

An amazing two days executive team meeting
Good meeting facilities although not the key purpose. Very caring staff. Great food (with a view)
I stayed in “Jeanette” a side building on the first floor. Very comfortable room and bed. I personally don’t like the carpet. Open bathroom with only bath tub, no shower cabin. A short 100m walk to get to main building and restaurant. We had good weather so very fine but on a rainy day …
All in all a great stay with a great team.
