The restaurant is excellent with original & creative dishes. Go for the 7course menu for the best experience (portions are adapted); the service is nice & friendly; the wine list offers a wide range of french wine at reasonable prices; the dining room is not large (+/-30 seats), with 4 window tables. It’s not possible to dine outside; overall we had a great time & look forward to try it at another season

This is a review for the restaurant experienced months ago but I think it should be known:  I was traveling with my partner and his family who although 2nd generation American, have deep roots in France.  In fact we were traveling with a distant cousin who still lives in Paris.  The food and whole dinner was lovely.  Some truly inventive dishes were served and overall it was great.  Because we were a large party we were seated in the separate private room.  At the end of the dinner, I saw chef Gallienne making his way around from table to table chatting with the patrons at each table for a brief moment.  Finally he enters our room, smiles, looks around  and said something like "hello, do you speak French?" in French  Our party was a mix of varying skill levels.  Obviously the Parisian was a native French speaker and the older generation in the family retained some basic French but the younger generation either didn't know it or only had high school level knowledge.  This caused us to pause instead of answering him immediately  (even our Parisian cousin didn't immediately answer) because... how to explain this complex history of 3 generations, some speak French and others didn't?  Well no need to, because without even waiting for an answer, at the first sign of our silence, chef bowed and backed out and just left! No exaggeration - it was as if he just found out we had some airborne disease and ran out of there.  Now I understand the whole thing about the French expecting its visitors to try to speak French etc but the outrageous thing was we had a native speaker and a couple of French speaking descendents!  The silence was just a pause for us to gather the complicated explanation of who spoke and who didn't but the chef obviously didn't even want to entertain even a nanosecond of that.  I can understand the "you must speak French in France" thing if it applied to some neighborhood shop or some small town but this is a one-star Michelin restaurant that presumably welcomes the precisely INTERNATIONAL distinction and presumably its INTERNATIONAL clientele that comes with that prestigious award.  If Chef Gallienne wants his restaurant to compete globally and to continue enjoying the accolades of an international award that is meant to attract people of ALL races and languages, he needs to change his rotten xenophobic attitude. Also we had the private room so in terms of basic customer satisfacation, the fact that he didn't even have any respect for such a large party booking a private room also shows poor customer relation skills in addtion to his xenophobia.

For my birthday celebration, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Le Jardin des Plumes in picturesque Giverny. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped in an ambiance that blended elegance with a touch of rustic charm. The tasteful decor, and attentive staff set the stage for what would be an unforgettable culinary journey.

The ingredients were fresh, locally sourced, and thoughtfully combined. We savored every bite, marveling at the harmonious balance of flavors. every element had a purpose - a story to tell on our palates.

What an amazing gem! The service was superb, what I found extremely cute is young boys trained as sommelier and learning how to serve guests. We picked chef’s table - though we were surprised we had the same courses as others but it was still a very pleasurable experience. Wine pairing was amazing, so our special evening was a true success. Thank you for making it so wonderful!

Food was creative, innovative and, for the most part, tasty.  Mackerel with beets and chicken with fig highlights. Oysters too. Service was not great, especially given cost. We did a 5 course wine pairing, but the wines arrived well after the food twice. We mentioned it and then red came well ahead of next course.  Not an ideal course correction. Pours were very light -- think thimble, not glass.  The two reds with our meal were very good. Service was a bit dismissive of us as Americans who don't speak French. The wait staff  basically recoiled the moment we acknowledged only speaking a little French.  That said, it was all in all interesting dining experience.  Service not great.  No contact with chef, though he was making rounds that night.  Too much money for indifferent approach to our experience.
