Stopped by during our first night in the area. Being from California, we get our fair share of good Asian food and Ko-sometsuke.2k did not disappoint. It has an influence of Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine and I loved it all. My friend and I chose the prix fixe menu in order to sample a bit of everything and it was perfect! Everything was so balanced and perfectly prepared. Service was friendly as well, especially for these English speaking tourists. I hope to return one day!

Food is excellent there, but waiting can be quite long. Everything was extremely savory with a good mix of asian and Aquitaine specialities. Maybe less salt would be most welcomed because sometimes the salt was more overwhelming than the different condiments used. But overall, we were all extremely happy of the food!

Misleading photos of food and menu on Google - so don’t expect those exact dishes.
The food was tasty, however the portion size of the beef cube dish was small, with a plain salad bed. The dim sum was very good (10 pieces and two sauces to try).
We cannot speak for the other dishes, but overall the portion sizes should be a little bigger considering the high prices.

First off, the food was tasty.

However, there were certain complications due to technical problems in the kitchen. We waited nearly 1h30 for the appetizers and 2h for the main dish. The duck and the rice were cold. The pork dish for 36 euros was a bit disappointing for the price. They didn't have the full choice of desserts and the chocolate tart was tiny 13 euros. All in all it was decent, but rather slow and overpiced, also considering the hype around the place.

Absolutely delicious and very friendly service. She gave us a sake for free and even offered to lend us an umbrella when we left in the rain. I can't recommend this place more. I wish we lived in Arcachon so we could go back soon, but we will definitely be back next time! Highly highly recommend.
