Our first visit to a Eurocamp and we had a great stay! The ultimate cabin we booked had a good location and was private. It had a nice outdoor seating space, bbq and hot shower. The inside is very basic and doesnt feel very ultimate but maybe i just had higher expectations. Space is very tight in certain areas of the cabin and because i am 6ft7 i found using the toilet and main bedroom really awkward for me. It had decent facilities though and was all fine for our stay. I would say it could have been cleaner though and could probably do with a full deep clean.

We had a tv but it didnt work and the wifi didnt work either. I appreciate there are restrictions with the tv and wifi with the location but better not to advertise/charge for these items then if they cant be fulfilled.

The water parks were great and where we spent most of our time. There were good sun loungers and giant bean bags to use which we loved but you had to get there for 10am when the park opened to have a chance of getting one. People whizz in and lay towels down and often then disappear. We had no problems though and if you plan on staying for the day, then just get there early.

The restaurant, snack kiosk and bar were all good and we ate there every day. Maybe a tiny bit more choice would have been nice as the resort page says about enjoying fresh seafood, but apart from mussels and one salmon dish there were no other real seafood options.

The staff were all helpful when we needed anything.

Overall a really good first experience of Eurocamp and we are thinking about booking again next year.

An impressive  or unremarkable, site mainly populated with static caravans attracting an array of French and western European families. Great for younger kids - up to about 14 - with a good pool and fun slides. Onsite if poorly stocked general store, a bar/restaurant, and activities for kids.  We used it as a base, which was the best way to use it, especially with older teenagers, to explore Bordeaux, vineyards of the Medoc - but beware the fiendishly expensive Royan ferry - La Rochelle and Rochefort, and some amazing beaches.

No reps to look after you, if that's what you need, so left to your own devices. Overall a good vibe.

Accommodation, even in the super-deluxe, you can't bend it, luxury caravans is acceptable if basic and tight for 8 people, but if the sun is shining, bearable.

Expect no frills, and you'll be happy.

We were in La Pinède end of June, beginning of July 2024 and had a GREAT time! Don’t listen to others as I read so many reviews before we arrived and had felt nervous but as I quickly found out, there was no need!

The biggest concern I had was with the Wi-Fi, due to other reviews – we were staying in a ‘3 bed Ultimate’ in the second site on La Pinède approximately in the middle. There were no Wi-Fi issues, streaming was around 30 meg which was ample for us, it was also included for free with our unit . It did mention that only one device was usable at one time but we found that 2-3 were able before we had to remove one to add another. At the pool there was a different Wi-Fi connection that gave 60 minutes for free, I used this once to watch a rugby match and the connection as at 100 meg (it can be purchased for longer prices attached in image).

The phone signal was also no problem – as we were EU roaming we were able to use the Orange network which gave us a speed of 50 meg – there were no problems with this signal and I did check around the park as I had noticed complaints in other reviews but be assure there are no connection issues to the Orange network. I did notice other network providers in the area but Orange worked 100% for us!

Decent enough campsite.

Nice layout, so even though the vans are quite close together you don't feel overlooked.

Kids club as always with Marvilla is well set up and well run.  Kids club staff are great.

Plenty of things for kids to do and seems safe to let them wander off in their own.  Bike hire was fun and reasonably priced.  Would recommend the long flat rise to the lighthouse and back.

Pool complex is nice enough, but as other have said it's not big enough for the number of people here on a sunny day.  Irritating sunbed hoggers grab all the beds at 10am and then disappear for the day.  Surprised they allow this.

WiFi unusably slow.  Complete waste of money, can barely load a normal webpage.  Don't bother.

Bar and restaurant nice enough, food mediocre although the daily specials (e.g. moules or vote de beouf) were decent.

Small shop with little fresh food in.  Mostly canned goods and tourist junk.

Overall a decent experience.  Would return.

Amazing park, with tons to keep the kids entertained (and tired out!) and very close to stunning beaches. Staff all very  friendly and very accommodating, and the on site shop serves fresh bread and pastries every morning!
10/10 would recommend
