We went to Eleonore for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere, service and food were fantastic.

The maître d made us feel so welcome, the waiter was attentive and professional- it was a special night.

Staying at Hotel Edward 1er we decided to eat at the restaurant on our first night. Fabulous meal, possibly the best pork dish I've ever had! Service was excellent, friendly and efficient, adding to our enjoyment. Thoroughly recommended, a great start to our holiday.

Eleonore and the hotel Edward 1st are an absolute gem of Le Perigord Noir!  One of the best, if not the absolute best, dining experiences we've ever had (and, we've dined at some of the best places in the world).  In every regard, Eleonore is the most fantastic - superb cuisine, service that I would characterize as perfect, and most welcoming hospitality.  The owners, Isabelle and Michel were so kind and they made us feel truly at home.

You absolutely MUST go to Restaurant Eleonore in the charming medieval bastide town of Monpazier, it is a highlight that we are still talking about over a year later :)  We cannot wait to plan our next trip back!

Simply one of the best if not the best dining experiences I have ever had! Also my wife had mentioned it was my birthday and the staff all came out singing me Happy Birthday and gave me a beautiful dessert! Exceptional!
