The pros : beautiful setting, excellent service, well crafted local products and interesting selection of wines (from the region and from beyond). Most interesting dish for me was the smoked mussels, even if too salty for my palate.
The cons : could be interesting to have dinner on the terrace itself

First, let me say that it is a beautiful environement. The room is cozy and feels luxurious without being too much. If you are lucky enough to be next to the window, you also benefit from a beautiful view! The hotel feels historical,  well decorated and luxurious.

The food was amazing and original, the dishes are modern and playful with very local products, especially the meat. I would say it is mostly french inspired and doesn’t dig in too much in other cultures. The meat and fish are cooked to perfection and the portions are generous while being light and fresh enough to keep your pallet and your stomach engaged. I particularly enjoyed the veal tartare.

The service is perfect especially for a one star restaurant. I really appreciated that while the service was top notch, it also felt comfortable and did not feel suffocating like many other Michelin stars.

They have have an extensive and well supplied wine list (over 300 references).

The beer inspired dessert was incredibly surprising. I was so happy to see craft beers which are extremely in fashion used in such a delicate dessert.

Overall, while not every dish was as equally pleasing, they absolutely deserve their star.

My only complaint is the additional price for cheese which I believe is a little expensive compared to the full price. It should be either included or the price of the addition of cheese should be reduced. It is worth nothing that the bread they used is incredible and to be honest, better than 3 michelin star restaurants I have previously tried.

I would 100 percent recommend Maison Ruffet.

We had my birthday lunch there. From amuse bouche to pre dessert, it was just WOW, taste wise and presentation wise as well. The chef uses local produce and is very creative. The service staffs are friendly and well trained. The ambiance is relaxing and beautiful. We had a great time and we will definitely come back

They cancelled our reservation a day before my husband's birthday because of someone else's private event. It was a Friday dinner and we had guests coming over from abroad so that caused us lots of inconvenience.

When I asked for some friendly gesture in return, they offered a free meal for 1 person (Which I find weird and stingy anyways. A discount for 2 meals instead of 1 free would feel way less awkward). But then they called back and said IT WAS A MISTAKE and they could only offer us an aperitif but not a meal!

I did not accept free drinks and said we find such propositions petty and shameful because we believe they should take responsibility for their own mistakes and not take away what's already been offered. The manager said she totally understood my point and would feel the same. She promised to talk to the team again call me back... she never did.

We used to come to this establishment before (hotel, SPA, bistrot were good) but will not return as we're not in the habit of supporting businesses that do not value neither their guests nor their own honor. What a disgrace.
