This is one of the more exceptional places we’ve ever stayed.  Lovely setting.  The service and family running the property are extremely welcoming and attentive.  We arrived early and they were kind enough to make us an outstanding charcuterie lunch.  The food and menu in the restaurant was outstanding.  Rooms are fully redone and air conditioned now.  The pool area was nice to lounge about.  Quiet, restful and definitely worth the visit.  Also despite one of the other reviewers commentary, our party of two gay couples did not experience any sense of what he mentioned.

This hotel is a wonderful renovation of an old monastery (abutting the town church, which makes a lovely courtyard to hang out and enjoy some wine in the sun) that is sensitive to the original yet adds many modern touches for a very elegant stay.  The room we had was entered through an outer door into a little vestibule with two doors (one contained the toilet and the other led to the room.  That the toilet was placed here was a little odd because it required touching three handles to get to the bathroom to wash one's hands afterward.  However, it's more of a quirk than anything).  The room itself was a nice size (which made the (seemingly) queen bed an unusual choice as I would have put in a king. Regardless, it was super comfortable).  The view through the large window over the countryside was stunning.  The bathroom had a similar window and I didn't want to get out of the shower as I enjoyed that view so much.  The breakfast was quite nice, but the dinner was amazing.  The hotel has two restaurants (The Bistro and La Table).  We ate at the latter - see my separate review for that if you want more info - as part of a weekend Gastronomique package and it was phenomenal.  Truly a great stay and we wish we had stayed longer - will definitely go back our next time in the area.

Le Monastere de Saint-Mont provided everything we needed to relax in the French Countryside, gorgeous LUX property (former Monestery), a spacious room with vineyard view, lovely pool and Spa.  We enjoyed both restaurants but the fine-dining experience at Le Table was on par if not better than some 3-Michelin starred restaurants we have enjoyed on our travels. This family-run property is clearly dedicated to guest comfort and experience.  Thank You Béatrice & Jean-Paul Tossens for a beautiful stay!  Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer.

We have eaten several times at La table and have found it first class on each occasion. The service is great and the food is innovative and sublime. We live locally so have never stayed as a guest but have heard good things. The location is really nice too.
