Warm enough to eat on the terrace in early November. Beautiful setting. Delicious food prepared by a truly imaginative chef. Impeccable friendly service. A great restaurant.

Beautifully prepared and presented dishes with an excellent wine list. We've been a few times and it's always very good. Location is gorgeous, as is decor. And service, of course was superb.
I understand it is about the presentation as much as the food itself, and it achieved everything it set out to be, but I still thought it was expensive for what it was. I hasten to add, 'foodie' food isn't really my first choice of cuisine, but totally get why people whose first choice it is gush over it.

Updating my earlier review below. On our third visit the food is ever better with only hits, no misses, and astonishing subtlety and control.  This is subtle, delicate, light and delicious cooking.  The pacing was far better this time despite a full restaurant — the front of the house in general has come together again despite only being two.  This is without question the most interesting restaurant in the region and we look forward to following their development.  And we wish Astrid and Marius all the best as their latest project (a family!) nears its launch date …

The food has improved even further from our last very enjoyable visit, and this may well be the beet cooking in the region (we prefer it to anything in Cahors or with a Michelin star).  Two small areas for improvement: service is very slow (small team) with sometimes long gaps between courses; and while most of the dishes were outstanding, the duck was disappointing.  Bravo!

We came across Les Jardins whilst exploring the Lot river having seen the area from a viewpoint at Crayssac. We had identified there was a restaurant and  this was confirmed at the local tourist office so we turned up and by chance secured the last remaining table. It is a delightful place, and the meal at lunch time was three courses all to a high standard with top quality service. Later, we enjoyed a walk around the village with views through the vines towards the Danish royal family chateau. Certainly somewhere to return.
