Delightful seasonal dishes, very creative. You are hit by a surprise of new flavors at every corner of every dish. Friendly couple are the lovely hosts, she serves and explains the dishes with care and enthusiasm while he cooks. As a bonus, the wine selection was extremely good. Recommended if you're after real both adventurous yet comforting gastronomy.

The hostess is very knowledgeable, and advises you in the options. She just exactly knows when to show up, is kind,  patient and not in a rush.

The ambiance:
Everything is carefully thought-out: from the cozyness, to the cutlery, plates, the nice sitting chairs, and art - it all fits exactly as it should. Be sure to check out the beautiful modern art on the first floor.

In conclusion:
The chef and hostess are an incredible team and together create an amazing evening with great tastes. The price for quality is unmatched and impeccable.

My partner booked Restaurant La Bartavelle as a surprise for my birthday.
This place is an absolute gem, the food was impeccable.
Stephanie was very attentive, taking the time to explain the dishes and answer any questions we had despite having a full restaurant.
The upstairs of the restaurant also had a beautiful gallery with bespoke pieces for your perusal between courses.
We both feel very grateful to have been able to experience this restaurant and would highly recommend.

Absolutely the best restaurant I've visited during these weeks in France!
It's driven by a hard working couple, that puts their lives into the food and environment of La Bartavelle, which you can easily taste on the food.

The dishes are complex, both in taste and combination, with perfect balance between all ingredients.
All ingredients are locally grown, which the staff explains along with the description of the dish as it is served.

The restaurant is nevertheless wonderful. The interior is carefully chosen and designed to create an environment that makes you feel at home, and at the same time, at a fancy restaurant.

Most wines on the winelist are organic natural wines, which are generally hard to come by on other restaurants due to their small scale production yet delightful taste.

If you're ever in the area, this restaurant is almost mandatory to visit!

Came across this cosy, art filled restaurant by accident so glad we did. Essentially Michelin star dining without the fuss and cost. Only 7 tables, 2 menus and probably some of the best food and wine you will come across. The owner’s waitress and chef clearly love what they do and it comes across in the amazing service and food. Well worth going out of your way to visit but book ahead😀
