This is an absolute great restaurant with a great view to the ocean and top service. I may have consumed 100 L of fish soup in my life but the one we got here takes the absolute first price.  The dessert was nice but a little heavy. This is my only minor complaint. Everything was perfect and this is going to be our stem restaurant in the future.

High end fine dining on the shoreside of France.  Classy vibe here with servers dressed in formal wear and the interior of the restaurant, decorated with upgraded  fanfare, including wine/champagne displays,  and well selected furnishings.  Even the table settings both inside and out, hint at owners with fancy restaurant knowledge.

Menu is entirely handmade; every item intricately prepared for that true formal experience.  Bring your wallet, the exquisite experience has an equally exquisite tab at the end of your journey.  You are in France, by the sea... its worth it...

Beautiful seaside restaurant from where you can see the world pass by and do people watching. Overlooks Cap Ferrat and the bay. Lovely sights to behold. They have an excellent extensive sea food menu with a great selection of wines. Perfect spot for lunch. We tried to the sea food risotto and it was delicious. Went really well with the Provence Rose.
Meal for 2 is easily 100 euros with a glass of wine each and can go up to a lot as there were some lobster dishes costing 200-300€

The service was friendly, though it felt awkward when the staff double-checked if we were okay with the prices, implying they might be too high for us. And they are very high, which would be fine if the quality matched. I ordered a seafood mix, but one piece of salmon tasted off, leaving me with itchy eyes after a small bite. The cheese selection was equally disappointing—French cheeses I buy in London are better. Wine was also not great, we had so much better wines in Nice the day before. For these prices, I expected much more. Sadly, not worth a return visit.

We had great expectations about La Mere Germaine restaurant based on reviews from other people, but I must say we ended up with a very disappointing experience.
At first, the restaurant's location looks ideal, by the marina, and on the water. That would be the case, of course, if you discount the cars driving by to get to the parking lot or (believe it or not) the waste collection trucks that may stop by in the middle of your dinner. You may sit well into the restaurant but that ruins the atmosphere as well since in that case you would be in a very non descript place.
Once you go over the disappointment about the location and look forward to a nice meal, you will be welcomed (or not) by the waiters. Now, I want to discount any cultural differences, but I traveled the world enough to know that (at least some of) the La Mere Germaine's waiters are just plain rude. Service is also pretty slow and you need to bring things to their attention, instead them anticipating their customers needs. Also, I find very surprising to be asked whether I want my Martini with Red or White vermouth, but I think bringing it in a non Martini glass and with ice inside is borderline disrespectful.
Last, and not least, the food. With a party of 8 we had a chance to get a good sampling of the restaurant's cuisine. In retrospect, I wish we all had ordered the Sole Meuniere, which was good. In fact, the vegetable risotto was overcooked and void of any significant flavour; the Linguine alle Vongole had overcooked shrimp (together with a third of the Mediterranean's sand) in it; the beef filet was the chewiest and toughest you can find.
So, as you can tell by now, it was a horrible experience and dinner, and I would not recommend this place, which - by the way - is not cheap either.
