We just finished our second stay at La Bastide and can’t wait to go back for our third. Everything about this place is incredible. The hotel itself is stunning - the rooms, decor, pool area and grounds… everything is elegant and thoughtfully designed. I could relax by that pool all summer - beautiful, relaxing, peaceful. The food and restaurants are fantastic, with 4 different restaurant, each a different style/variety, which is valuable considering how small the village of Gordes is. Go on Sunday for their brunch, it’s a must-try. The location is incredible, and must be one of the most beautiful old French villages in the country, and the farmer/flea market on Tuesdays is not to be missed.

What separates this hotel more than anything is the service. The staff goes above and beyond in so many ways. Every time we come here the entire staff makes you feel like you’re their #1 guest. It’s truly an incredible feeling. I was hesitant to even write this review to keep this hidden gem just that, but the entire team at Arielles Gordes deserves the credit for an exceptional hotel experience.

Exquisite, charming, delightful......AMAZING!  Leave no doubt, Airelles in Gordes is worth the splurge!  Every attention to detail will amaze you.  Welcome gifts, stock snacks and bar in rooms are just a few of the little details that do not go unnoticed. Shed a little tear leaving this historic village!  Do not miss this hotel in Gordes.

Started off a bit rocky but the team at La Bastide made up for it. Thanks to Charles, Cassie and the rest of the team here. I would recommend staying here, even if it’s on the pricier end, you are showered with gifts and the snack bar in room is well stocked with drinks and snacks. Bedding, pillows, towels, toiletries, etc are all lux. Appreciate the welcome treats and note from the team. Check out the spa and outdoor pool which are heated. Merci beaucoup, La Bastide!

Best hotel we've ever stayed at in Europe, top 3 in the world. Our favorite in Europe before staying here was La Residencia by Belmond in Mallorca. This property surpassed La Residencia...which is an extremely high bar.

Check-in process was easy and smooth. They offered unpacking services, so the head of laundry services helped to unpack my suitcase. Every request was fulfilled extremely quickly. When we asked for another luggage rack, there was a knock on the door 2-3 minutes later as an example.

This property has incredible art strewn all over their walls. The building itself is just magnificent. Ate at one of the restaurants the first night, and everything was incredible. The bar has a big outdoor terrace and a lovely, cozy indoor experience as well. Good music. Great wine. The cocktails were so-so and a bit overpriced. No big deal.

Breakfast everyday was just fantastic. Service was on point. I normally hate buffets...I looked forward to this one everyday. The ingredients were so fresh. Small hotel, so breakfast wasn't too busy. Farm fresh goat cheese to pair with any fresh baked bread you like. Order a la carte eggs, crepes, french toast...the list goes on.

The spa is hands down one of my favorite in the world. Clara, the manager, was so nice. Laura, my masseuse, was so great. The facilities are amazing. They are open to guests while the spa is open, even if you don't have an appointment for a service (common perk in Europe that a lot of folks don't realize). Sauna, steam, and the most beautiful indoor pool you've ever seen.

The town of Gordes itself is simply perfection. The concierge set us up with some e-bikes (free) and gave us some ideas of where to go. We went to a local winery and then biked to the Abbey. Absolutely insane views. Can't rec enough.

The pool is so picturesque. Service is great there too (of course).

The list goes on. If you're on the fence about staying here...it's worth every penny.

I have been to many places, and been fortunate enough to stay at many nice hotels (and some not so nice ones), my wife and I agree this is the very best hotel we’ve ever stayed at.

Came here for our honeymoon. We drive up, two gentlemen came to valet the car. The first asked for our name and ran inside so the front desk was already prepared for our check in. They did check in at the room which was lovely. Had a delicious cake waiting for us to celebrate the honeymoon. The pool and views are amazing. The staff is very friendly.

Even the mistakes were handled with brilliant grace. We had reserved a picnic basket, and when we went to concierge to retrieve it, it seemed that the basket was not ready. The concierge then made it a point to walk us through every detail of where we could go for picnic, different town areas, etc. until the basket was ready. It was a master class on service.
