Discovered this small intimate restaurant and it’s listed on 50 best discovery. Personal favourite is BBQ ribs, Mac& cheese, chickpea fries, 70% dark chocolate tart. Reservation is a MUST in this eatery, their place is full house and limited seat, saw the gatekeeper staff rejected many walk in diners and even you come with one extra after reservation still REJECTED

We were recommended by a local friend and Lavomatique didn’t disappoint! We ordered just a few dishes but they were all spectacular! The chuck steak was so tender and complimented the aubergine well, maybe a bit gamey for some but definitely up my alley. We’ve also ordered the cheese plate and grilled squid - a seasonal option, but the thing that blew us off were the chickpea fries - so crispy on the outside and tender within, alongside the spicy ketchup. Service were great though the restaurant gets busy and filled up very quickly, so definitely reserve beforehand!

Lavomatique in Nice is an absolute gem of a restaurant! From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for something special. The intimate size of the place, combined with its beautifully designed interior and warm, inviting vibe, set the perfect stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

And it truly was exceptional. The food was simply the best I've ever had—each dish bursting with flavor and crafted with such care that I couldn't stop eating. I was so enamored with the food that I didn't want the evening to end. I asked the waiter if I could stay longer, and to my delight, they graciously allowed me to stay through the second seating at 9 PM, despite my reservation being at 7 PM.

The waiter was incredibly sweet, and the chefs in the kitchen were just as lovely. I couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was, and they seemed genuinely thrilled to hear it. The entire experience was beyond amazing—three hours of pure culinary bliss, accompanied by some fantastic rosé wine.

I can’t wait to return to Nice and visit Lavomatique again. If you’re looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this is the place to be!

Wonderful food, welcoming staff, and a really fantastic and unique wine selection. Fresh ingredients really stand out, and it’s always great to get a front row seat to the open kitchen. We discovered the restaurant last summer, and booked dinner for three nights this summer. We were not disappointed, and cannot wait to come back!

One of the best meals that I’ve had in my life and I like to eat.  Currently doing a 2 week tour of France and Italy and we’ve booked reservations for places every night.  This has been a highlight of our trip as every dish was fabulous. First, you have to have reservations.  Many people came in while we were there and the staff would just see them and say “no.”  The place is good.  They know it and they were turning away people all night.

We sat at the counter and watched them prep the meals to perfection.  The gaspacho had layers of flavor.  The muscles and sausage dishes were all really good as well.  However, the pork ribs with the sauce were the highlight.  We also got the lemon dessert with the brûlée crust.  It was delicious.  The food comes in tapas style plates and so we had fun eating our way through the different plates together. Highly recommend.
