I visited on a slow rainy winter night.  The food, the care, the wine, they couldn’t have been better! Jacquelyn was accommodating and created a wine tasting experience for me of local and regional wines and spent time sharing the regions, her tasting notes etc. I know during busier times you may not get to have the same experience but you will enjoy it immensely! Find yourself here for a personal and special dining experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this beautiful restaurant, located on one of the gorgeous cobblestone streets in the Old Town. Creative and delicious food, and very friendly wait staff. Highly recommend! We had some other poor dining experiences elsewhere in Freiburg, so do yourself a favour and book in at Restaurant Löwengrube.

What’s not to like in this absolutely wonderful restaurant… such a lovely surprise to find it. Every dish was so gorgeous and a delight to the palate! The service staff were also very friendly and kind to translate their German menu and explain it to us in English patiently! Love it 😍 simply must do if in Freiburg even for just 1 day!
